Funny enough, Jesus was indeed, a communist; not in his preferred choice of a form of government (since the Bible doesn't tell us if he had any political leanings. In fact, in Mathew 22 v 17-21 he states quite the opposite) but in the way he lived.

His life with his disciples was very "communal". I have always believed that communism, as practiced by spiritual people and by choice was a terrific way to live; not so much with the way politicians and despots practice it.

another one almost off topic for the church lovers:

while this church may not look too impressive at first glance, the tower is the world highest brick tower... 130.6 meters ( 427 feet ). it was built from 1385 to 1500.

the story why it was built so high says a lot about the catholic church... the tower is from sea level 1m higher than the tower of the castle on the hill, to show the superiority of the church over the state.
