FR
Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of
homosexuals and Barack Obama.
Now there's a bumperstcker!
I'd slap it on my hybrid and drive all
around the biblebelt but the irony and
snark would largely be lost and I'd get
a lot of horn honking thumbs up from
to much of the citizenry.
Thanks so much to the OP for posting this.
When the there's no real differences between
the two parties meme gets floated it's could
to have a handy reminder that can fit in
your wallet that tells you that just ain't so.
So, thank you, Daddy, thank you, thank you.

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 1:47:41 PM)

One could likely suspect from this that ...

OK, I can't proceed further, I'm trying to be good.

I put that threat of instant Britney quotation and allusion to protect myself as much as the general audience here.

Edwynn -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 2:35:32 PM)

But screw it ...

And just as in the case of Colbert, the country get's bit in the butt yet again from their dearly held contorted and mangled view of the world outside the NE. But putting up your dukes there is rather cute, I must say.

SternSkipper -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 3:17:25 PM)

Ed ... despite what you think you learned using the "Abba Method" of learning Geography, New Jersey, will never be part of new england.[:D]

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 3:18:17 PM)

Edwyn
I'm a southerner born and bred.
I live in the South and I love the South.
Notice I capitalize the s [;)]
I'm also a southerner who has lived in the
Northeast. Got me some good Yankee
educatin'.
I'm well aware everyone in the north is not
a liberal or without bias.
I'm well aware that everyone in the south
isn't conservative or bigoted.
But Jesus and hatred/dislike of Obama
does seem to be a common theme on
a lot of bumperstickers I see locally and
in the extended area which is in the biblebelt.
I don't say that number parental boasting
bumperstickers or caution I break for unicorns
bumperstickers or any number of bad pun
bumperstickers.
I'm sure if I had the Jesus, gay and Obama
bumperstickers any number of good
conservatives would tsk tsk me.
So, I'll just stick with It's only kinky the
first time and I break for dragons.
My tongue was in my cheeky but I don't
doubt I would get some thumbs up.
And just one would be depressing.

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 3:19:53 PM)

I don't say that they out number parental boasting etc
is what I meant to say.

I didn't write it but, I did weed out some of the ridiculous stuff and change a few references (for chronology's sake)

So who wrote this piece of filth, anyway?

Some Dude who like the OP thinks he's the Confucius of the Right Wing I presume

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 3:34:10 PM)

And what a susipicious mind you do seem to have, Edwynn.
If the cute remark was directed at little ole me
and I had a suspicious mind I'd be thinking
you're mighty patronizing.

Judging from the emails forwarded to me from my gf via her mother from Georgia, yes you would.

Edwynn -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:01:50 PM)

I hear what you say, though my experience is different, but ...

Just how is your eagerly awaited and greedily-eaten-like-a-starved-dog Hollywood take on things helpful to the cause here? Seriously?

I dislike bumper stickers of any sort, so it might be arguable that I should recuse myself from the discussion.

But I won't, because ignorance is not abided from this quarter.

Good for you that you somehow managed to escape notice that bigotry and even outright racism is even more prevalent outside the SE. Racial segregation is built in in most of the NE, you missed that? But the 'cool' bumper stickers make up for that, right? I'm as weird a f*ck as exists, and have gone to many corners of the SE and had only occasional problems, most certainly less trouble as experienced elsewhere in the country.

My sister got caught with 24 plants in her car in the 70s, in rural NC, and the state trooper and the prosecuting attorney both thought quite little of it at the time. $50 fine, end of story.

My dearly beloved nephew is doing 3 years in prison for not much more. Thanks to, ultimately, Reagan, who is from Illinois and found political success in California.

So, that bumper sticker thing working out for you there, eh? Please stay away, go away, be gone. Maybe you should go work for the Cali and NY asshats that sent millions to every Jesse Helms campaign in NC.

I just knew that my tremendously smart Macon-born aunt led me the right way, not to mention the parents. Thanks to them, I was well prepared for the tsunami of bigotry I experienced in the Midwest and NE, or those from those regions.

Have fun with the bumper stickers there, whatever the occasion.

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:02:26 PM)

It's not anything I have the heart to put to the test.

I meant brake not break for unicorns
and dragons.

Winterapple -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:05:52 PM)

Oh, Edwynn, lighten the fuck up.

Edwynn -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:19:54 PM)

Just like you.

Got it.

I missed out on the lightheartedness of your initial post, sorry.

SternSkipper -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:37:08 PM)

Which one of you is the one who says "Dave's not here"?

Edwynn -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:46:13 PM)

"Dave's not in New Jersey," do I have that right?

Oh well, sorry for the scrap here, Skipper. Stuff happens.

Most certainly, there are issues to deal with here lately in Georgia and in Tennessee. I just hope that people are not ignoring the situations in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. That's all I'm sayin'.

Lucylastic -> RE: The Liberal Platform (3/10/2012 4:48:45 PM)
