That was very sweet, SternSkipper. Thank you. I think that same thing can be said of most of the regs here. Pretty savvy group of characters and I'm probably somewhere in the middle. Good days with flashes of brillance and bad days with unfortunate ineptitude but mostly in the middle and quite comfortable to be there. When I wake up in the morning and can remember my own name, I'm already on a winning streak.

I said it, on another thread and I'll say it here: These types of people have been waiting a long time for this and Rush made it very easy for them but that doesn't mean that the government should step in or we have a very real 1st amendment issue.

Once the government comes to play, it's very much about censorship. Once they enter the fray, it's very much a matter of denying someone "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" (the ability to make a living in their chosen, legal profession) without due process.

That was my point; that once the FCC/government is involved, we have a 1st amendment conflict.

I agree with you about government and censorship. As for shouting down, I hear you, but as Rush is all about shouting down, not discourse, I have no sympathy. He set the rules, he's reaping the results, nothing to see here.

The FCC issue--again, the FCC is ENTIRELY about censorship, and has been since conservatives got a hold of it to force their values on listeners through the government. It's its main purpose these days, beyond assigning bandwidth frequencies. If only now this is an issue....where ya all been?

You should be out on the MRC website and begging him to stop demeaning REAL CONSERVATIVES by writing a bunch of LAUGHABLE 'open letters' to any news or entertainment he can spell. It makes you guys out a total laughing stock.

You know what? I think he'd be hard pressed to find someone with even an average education agreeing that the government shouldn't be a censor. But these guys that throw on the crusader toupee' will be the first to bring it on when their lot is in power ... Let us not forget the cacophony
of conservatives SQUANDERING THE TERM UN-AMERICAN to get their way in arguments over virtually every issue between 9/11 and Bush leaving office.
