Lucylastic -> 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 5:59:15 PM)

ThinkProgress has obtained an internal memo from Premiere Radio Networks listing 96 national companies that have “specifically asked” their advertisments not be played during the Rush Limbaugh Show. Premiere is the distributor of Limbaugh’s program. The advertisers have also requested to be excluded from other right-wing hosts including Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. According to the memo, the listed companies’ advertisements should be excluded from these programs because they have been “deemed to be offensive.”

The existence of the memo was first reported over the weekend by Radio-info.com, an industry newsletter. Radio-info did not publish the full list of companies. The memo was posted website of the Traffic Directors Guild of America, an association of professionals who distribute paid advertisements to radio stations. It was quickly deleted but ThinkProgress obtained a copy from a Google snapshot of the site taken on March 9.

Previously, ThinkProgress has reported that 50 companies requested their advertising be pulled from the Rush Limbaugh show following his sexist attacks on Sandra Fluke. The publication of the memo adds an additional 91 companies to the list of companies that have dropped Limbaugh:

"These advertisers have made a commitment to using radio, both network and local, in 2012. They help to underwrite the cost of sponsospecific programs and/or services. Theyve specifically asked that you schedule their commercials in dayparts or programs free of contknow are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck,Hannity). Those are defined as environments likely to stir negative sentiment from a very small percentage of the listening public

Wow!

SternSkipper -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:18:08 PM)

It's like I said earlier... If it was nothing to worry about, they wouldn't be prolonging the experience with their own daily mention. And we wouldn't see a small army of Limpologists running around the web yelling us how 'ineffective' we are.

SternSkipper -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:20:03 PM)

Yessiree... Rush is in what Frank Zappa used to call "the doodoo room with the wreak replete"

erieangel -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:22:17 PM)

It might take a little longer than we all wish at this point, but it looks like we will finally be rid of Rush. It took FOX how long to dump Beck once his advertisers started leaving?

Lucylastic -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:29:35 PM)

book on how long it takes before someone says its an Obama "plan against free speech"

Winterapple -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:35:33 PM)

A few months. Didn't help that he seemed to have
gotten himself on Roger's bad side.
Rush is a more reliable water carrier than
Beck. Oxy addled and dumb being more
consistent than batshit crazy and dumb.
It'll be interesting to see if the GOP leaders
think Rush has served his purpose and needs
to be put out to pasture.
Without Fox as a platform Beck is on the
sidelines. As Roger more or less told him
he would be. But Beck in full throttle
Lonesome Rhodes mode didn't believe him.

And while all of this is going on, Michelle Obama will be a guest on the Bill Maher show. Hypocracy at it's best.

I say keep turning the screws... perseverance pays off.

How the hell do you think he's stayed on the air all this time? He waits till the enraged consumer tires or he can shame them like he did as a poor rehabbed junkie, into giving him another chance.

A four hundred million dollar chance.

Also try different routes home... The problem solving aspect is very stimulating.

Has Mrs. Obama appeared on Maher's show? I couldn't find any reference to her doing so.

servantforuse -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:46:43 PM)

Since Maher's PAC just gave Obama 1 million dollars, anything he says is ok.

dcnovice -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:48:08 PM)

That's not an answer to my question.

servantforuse -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:54:02 PM)

Not yet. She will though.

Winterapple -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 6:57:42 PM)

And her husband was a guest on Bill O'Reilly's
show before he was elected.
Laura Bush was a guest on Jay Leno.
I don't think it's a great idea for her
to go on Maher and I will be very
surprised if she does.
Where did you get the info she was
going to be his guest?

Hahahahahaha... 5 or 6 megawealthy republicans control the political fate of all republicans and you're worried about Bill Maher?

BTW - You know the PACs aren't for giving money to candidates, but rather to take political actions on their behalf, right?
Of course you don't.

Winterapple -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 7:00:53 PM)

Ah, cross posted. No basis in reality.
She won't go on Maher. Not even
wishful thinking on the right will get
her there.

So your earlier post was?

Lie?
Or Delusion?

servantforuse -> RE: 141 down and an internal memo against the likes of rush (3/12/2012 7:03:09 PM)

I said that she will be a guest. Not was a guest.

And this is hypocritical how?

Please be specific.
