I LOVE reading (even books without pictures), but haven't read this one yet. I want to get it though. I have and did read, "Everything you wanted to know about sex (But were afraid to ask). That was pretty neat for the time.

Waiting to read in Bondage, sub BalletBob

Karmastic -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/19/2012 4:46:45 PM)

fr-

sorry haven't read the thread, but just as an aside...

the very first time i searched Google for this book, by the time i typed in 50 and a space, the name of the book had already auto-populated as the first choice. no, it wasn't cached, i had never searched for it.

This is akin to trending on Twitter. So many people have searched for it, Google offers it up as the first choice after 3 keystrokes.

New2This177 -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/19/2012 7:29:47 PM)

I read all three books and I loved it. As a matter of fact it was these books that lead me to seek and learn more about BDSM. Now I am making an honest attempt to learn more about the desires and tendencies I have always had. If a tenth of the stuff I read I those books can be obtained through this lifestyle then this is the place for me. I realize now having educated myself a bit about the scene that the book is a very tame and potentially negative portrayal of this lifestyle but for newbies like me it can also inspire and finally give us the answers to questions we have always had about ourselves as sexual beings.

Moonlightmaddnes -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/19/2012 9:16:08 PM)

The character Ana is annoying the hell out of me.

chatterbox24 -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/20/2012 9:54:29 AM)

I bought the first two books, wish Id bought the third then, its been sold out the last two attempts to buy it in the last two weeks at the bookstore.

I want to slap Christain more then Anatasia lol.

Moonlightmaddnes -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/20/2012 5:31:01 PM)

You should've gotten it on Kindle. I am on book two and the girl is still annoying the hell out of me.

chatterbox24 -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/21/2012 4:50:37 AM)

Yes, I know, a girl at work asked what I was reading these days I told her and she whipped out her kindle and bought the books for $9.00 a piece. I spent a $20.00 a piece on my books then cant find the last one in stock. I know what to ask for for Christmas.
I still like the feel of a book and turning the pages but I love to read and you have a library at your fingertips.

Moonlightmaddnes -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/21/2012 10:52:24 AM)

I just downloaded kindle on my laptop. Free.

feastie -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/21/2012 7:17:54 PM)

I've had Kindle on my laptop for years. It came on my smartphone. Better on the phone than the laptop any day of the week. Bought a Kindle Fire to take on a business trip instead of lugging around my laptop. Use the Fire at home, phone everywhere else.

Still not going to pay any amount for the appalling drivel that is 50 Shades, no matter what medium.

Moonlightmaddnes -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/21/2012 9:52:12 PM)

I don't have a smartphone :( If I did I would use my phone.

Solidman03 -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/21/2012 11:59:31 PM)

The book is okay. Too much of a big hype. I was invited for auditions.

That. Exactly.

BlackTigerDragon -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 3:11:40 AM)

I have not read it and probably won't. Ever. More in protest than anything else. I don't even have to pick it up to know what it is. It is common knowledge that it is literally Twilight fanfiction! As a wannabe author I know too well of writers with great books that nobody will publish, and this pile of shit sells millions?
Why oh why have I never seen one piece of physical evidence that John Green's 'Fault in our stars' actually exists (and I really would like to read that by the way) while a SHITTY FANFICTION is literally plastered everywhere in every bookshop I walk in?

mons -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 4:00:54 AM)

Hello chatterbox24

When I first heard about the book fifty shades of grey! I order the first one, I sent for the next
two before I finish the first one!

It is written very well not like some books with no story line, it has it all love hot sex, BDSM stuff all
over the place!

I knew that it would sell out fast so I had all three here to read! Amazon.com has the books!

I think why should everything be romance and love, but not BDSM?

So I am so enjoying these books very much!!!

mons

chatterbox24 -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 7:50:13 AM)

I have seen fanfics that were very well written. I was on a fan fiction sight and commented on several stories that they should get look into some sort of writing as a career or serious hobby.

I did not know this was a twilight fan fic, I have not seen anything having to do with twilight in the books. I am sort of confused as to how it can be a twilight fan fic.

BlackTigerDragon -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 4:42:23 PM)

Seriously? The writer hasn't even hidden the fact that it is obviously twilight fanfic. There's even the original twilight version of the book floating around on the internet. And from what I've heard from people who have read the book, he doesn't even try to pretend that he hasn't just slapped different names onto Bella and Edward.
And I've heard that Twilight is pretty terrible, so that says a lot about Shades of Grey.

Moonlightmaddnes -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 4:53:37 PM)

Oh ok, Well I do not keep current with such things. I was wondering what a CEO of a company had to do with vampires.

mons -> RE: 50 Shades of Grey (6/24/2012 6:06:35 PM)

Hi chatterbox24

I read so many books, history , bdms everything! This book is well written!

She did alot of research, she made it so you can really understand what he is
feeling, and why as one keeps reading more of the books! I like that the main characters are in love and the sex is hot!

It is a good read, and it is nothing like edward and bella books at all! I read those books and
I found it missing alot! I made sure I bought them right away!

chatterbox I hope you can find them!

I read it when it time for my morning tea, ok I stay up late so it is afternoon tea lol

take care
mons
