I also have to say that I am one of the people that most people hate and find offensive as well as unintelligent. I believe what Kirk Cameron said. I believe what the Bible says. And I believe in Creation Science. I have watched Dr. Hovind's videos and have found them very interesting. They are the main basis for my conclusion that Creation Science is going to be part of my belief system.

Everything Hovind claims supports creationism is a lie and he knew it was untrue when he said it. You've been defrauded.

If you don't believe me present the best evidence, in your opinion, from any Hovind video and I'll show you what is wrong with it.

The same goes for Cameron and Ray Comfort.

Done my googling.

Oh, I see - he's an *actor*! Well, of course that makes whatever he says of much more importance than if he were a mere intellectual. I was so in the wrong and admit it, now. I am genuflecting as I write.

While you're down there..... LOL!

First things first: You have the right to believe as you choose. Free country and all that.

That said, I can't help wondering if you believe the animals were created before or after human beings. In Genesis 1, the animals come first. In Genesis 2, God, creates Adam first, then makes the animals to keep him company.

LanceHughes -> RE: Kirk Cameron Doesn't Like Homosexuality (3/18/2012 12:40:39 PM)

And along those lines of being "hit" on by gays - or anyone else - I just google-imaged

"Kirk Cameron" shirtless

WOW!  Not a ONE!  Even found a gay site that was looking for such an image and has never been able to find one.

KIRK!  Time to "come out."  LOL!

He was on an 80's TV sitcom. He played a kid with a really smart sister (that actress ended up with anorexia) and the family adopted Leonardo DiCaprio. Alan Thicke, was the dad.

We did not get to watch a lot of TV in the evenings. Afternoons were different. If you ask me about "Laverne and Shirley" I can give better answers.

I did get a small black and white TV for a birthday and I watched a show called "Stingray" after I was supposed to be asleep. I still want a '65 black Stingray. *sigh*

You're just a kid [:D]

When I was 4 years old (1955), we got the first television in our neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, PA. There was NBC (National Broadcasting Company), CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System), ABC (American Broadcasting Company) and the Dumont Network (which went out of business in 1956). There was also NET (National Educational Television) but it only was on during the daytime and only on Monday through Friday. That was all the options available.

We still had what is now called "Old-Time Radio" when I was little - I remember having to be very quiet while my grandmother listened to the soap opera "As The World Turns" on the radio every day.

Well I don't like Kirk Cameron, so his opinion isn't really very important.

The preceding statement represents the views and opinions of the author and the author alone, and should in no way be considered an attempt by the author to define or determine anything for anybody but herself.

tweakabelle -> RE: Kirk Cameron Doesn't Like Homosexuality (3/18/2012 11:03:11 PM)

Kirk was last heard of eloping with a crocoduck and they all lived happily ever after ...... apparently!

Isn't it nice to know that love at first sight still happens, and that fairy stories do have happy endings! [:D][:D]

You had SEVEN channels? Holy SHIT, you must have lived in the big city or something. We had TWO that came in well, and on a good day a third one.

A bloke at the pub near me said that homosexuality was pretty harmless, therefore OK in his book.

So that wraps this one up, then. Kirk Cameron's view is trumped by that of Bloke at Pub.

I watched it a couple times 'cause Tracy Gold was mmm, mmm, mmm (if a little young for me, even then) - the fattest ass outside Blair (Lisa Whelchel) on The Facts of Life. Nancy KcKeon was pretty hot too, so butch.

Then Tracy went all ano, so sad.

Now if Tracy Gold was on CNN, I'd pay attention.

Dana Plato had some curves too, too bad about her.

I continue to find it interesting that, just because a person has, at some point in their life, been famous for something, even though some of them haven't been relevant within their field of fame for years, they seem to feel that anyone cares what they think.

While I totally agree that being an actor doesn't make you any more intelligent than the next guy. You have to admit that there are some out there who not only care what he thinks, they write him letters telling him how great he is and start fan clubs in his name. I can see where that would go to your head and you would start thinking your thoughts were important. That said, there are some actors that I would listen to, but it isn't based on their performance, it's based on things I have heard them say when they weren't acting.

I believe what Kirk Cameron said.

Cameron: “I think its unnatural, I think it’s detrimental and ultimately destructive to so many foundations of civilization.”

Can you enumerate the many foundations of civilization of which Cameron is speaking since you believe him?

From your profile:

'I am bisexual and wouldn't mind having a girlfriend to play with once in a while"

Definition of HOMOSEXUAL
1: of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex
2: of, relating to, or involving sexual intercourse between persons of the same sex

I find it extraordinary that as a bisexual woman, you embrace and believe in the idea that homosexuality is unnatural, detrimental and ultimately destructive to so many foundations of civilization yet you practice it yourself. Do you consider yourself a hypocrite? Other people are living and pursue active homosexual lifestyles and that's bad and detrimental to civilization, but it's cool for you?

You didn't have to post a definition of homosexuality to me. I am intelligent enough to look up the definition and know what it means. Yes, I am bisexual. I think I am wrong for feeling that way. I have tried to force myself to not be that way. But, ultimately, I do find women attractive. I also know though, that I have prayed to God about it and told Him that this is something that I struggle with on many levels. I know that until I'm ready to let it go, I will have to accept less rewards when my time comes to be judged because I haven't lived the life that I should have. But, then none of us do in my opinion. Everyone does things they shouldn't do.

I also know that because of my relationship and faith and belief in Jesus Christ, that my sins will be forgiven. I confess that it is wrong for me to feel that way. But, then I've lived with men when I was still married to someone else, I didn't wait until marriage to have sex, I cuss, I have been sexually immoral in so many ways, I have lied, I have cheated, I have done so many wrong things in my life. And I don't know a single person who hasn't done any single thing wrong in their life or never made a mistake. I am not a hypocrite for agreeing with Kirk Cameron if I believe that about myself.

I have repented of a lot of my problems such as I am living with my fiance's mom until I marry him. But, I have other things I still struggle with and being bisexual is one of them. And I'm not ashamed to say that. I know that my Lord forgives me. I also know that my future husband loves me as I am too and that's all that matters to me. But, I have to say I agree with something when I do and that I disagree with something when I don't. Regardless of what anyone else thinks I will speak up when I feel I should. I apologize for offending you and anyone else, but I will not allow your words to hurt my heart or kill my spirit, nor my faith.

I still think you are a neat person because you like Star Trek too from your profile. And thank you for voicing your opinions and for pointing out my faults which is what Kirk Cameron was doing for me too. I need to remember where my failings are so that I can eventually work on improving them.
