Right. Re-size your screen, and you won't see anything. That being said, since CM generates revenue from the ad hits, every so often I click on everything, until the screen asks for money. lol

Just be careful of possible spyware! I recommend AdAware and Spybot.

I **sure** hope that if anyone does leave, it isn't stef. Stef is a wealth of info. I've used her to find information for me many times, she is brilliant when it comes to research, a wealth of information, and funny/witty to boot. She is one of the few reasons that I read the forums.

For those that do object to seeing ads on a free site. . .I have a simple solution. They should take on the hosting charges. . .and while they are feeling benevolent, they can maybe hire a few folks to do things like update code, debug, etc.

P.S. I thought I was the only one to click on the ads to "help out!" I'm glad others are doing it too. I've checked out one of the sites and might even order from them. . .Achella seems like a good place to get some basic things.

It is. Among the other millions of things I excel at (far beyond what you can imagine). But one can hope right? See for every person that mentions your lovely assistance (one so far) I have seen 10 times as many rude posts from you with no cause or reason other than spite. It seems like this was just in another thread a day or two ago with others mentioning the same thing.
Its well known "stef" that we are not fans of each other. You may also notice that the only time I take a "shot" at you is IMMEDIATLY after you do so to someone else. Like you called another member an "Ingrate", I mention something, you try to insult me, there we go. Its cyclical and the best way for it to stop is for you to stop slamming and insulting people. Give it some thought. You may think its your God given right to mock and harrass others but I tend to disagree. I stick up for newbies, the underdog and those without a voice in the face of bullies, like you.

Huh? Where did I try to insult you before your little cheap shot above? You need to have your sensitivity levels recalibrated if you honestly think I was trying to insult you, because I wasn't. Forgive me for trying to have a conversation with you. Had I known this was impossible to achieve, I wouldnt have wasted the effort.

I was also gone for one month and came back to find these banner ads which are somewhat annoying, but are probably necessary to keep this site from closing because of lack of funds. I have often wondered who pays for hosting CollarMe. I think we know that now. But I'd rather have to deal with ojectional advertising material thrown at me than to not have CollarMe at all. I believe that CollarMe is one of the best sites for BDSM and D?S (if not the best) on the Internet, and I'd rather deal with the ads than to have the whole site closed down because of lack of operating funds. In short, it's just the cost of doing business.

I'm not very tickled to have them on My screen, either, especially since I used to sit in My armchair with My laptop on My knees. When nothing but text was on the screen I didn't have to watch over My shoulder every moment to keep untainted, innocent eyes from seeing such trash. Now, I log on rarely, and only when I am alone.

Sadly, CM has to make a few $ to keep the site up and running, and I for one am happy to have the site continue (although I'm deeply perturbed by the fact that so many kiddos seem to have found it and are putting up a plethora of profiles that are truly underaged while they purport to be young adults).

If you'll click on your 'support' link at the bottom of your login page, and email Support asking them to show only links on your login page as opposed to the pics, they will be happy to oblige you. Sometimes it takes awhile for the pics to go down and convert to links once I login, but usually they're gone within a minute or three.

While we're at it, can we also object to that endless pic of Miss Six or whoever she is, the Old Style Polyamorous Mistress, every single time I login? Or does she pay for the privilege? I'm sick to death of her photo. I wonder if Support could do anything about THAT? *chortle*

Yes, it's just Me, being out of sorts.

I think MissSix is the "dummy default" profile that you get when you aren't logged in. That way, someone who doesn't have an account or someone who stumbles across the website on accident won't see anything "offensive."

No. I expose the true situation (backed up my accusations) and it gets deleted (already once) by the moderators as you very well know, as was the case in one of my previous posts. Whatever. There are enough people now complaining about you, and you know what else (which I am not allowed to mention) to the "powers that be" that hopefully you will be removed. We both know if I point out who you are and your true nature it will be deleted which is why you are acting and talking all big and bad. And you think others need professional help lol. I at least know who and what I am and am fine with that. So lets see if this post lasts more than a few minutes before being deleted or altered.

You people fight on this site an awful lot. In just like ::one:: week, I've seen like 5 threads with people going at it, and that's either fluke or flaw. Fluke if I'm seeing just the few that are all about a battle, or flaw if I'm only the 'bad' ones and missing the regular or typical because I only look at 5 or 10 threads in a day.

I know people always ::hate:: a peacemongering outsider, but really, there's so many issues in life that are huge and worth being passionately angry about, why waste any of it on a fight that involves the alphabet and lil smiley faces gone awry, you know? Tempers flare and all, but to be sincerely upset with genuine feelings that don't just shrug off...that's wasted energy that had the potential to make your life more enjoyable. Don't keep wasting energy on trivial things

Btw, from personal experience, I did find stef helpful and haven't seen the rude comments.

This isn't to take sides, but to show that she helped a 'newbie' more than once and hasn't made snide comments. I haven't been here long enough to know, for all I know I just caught her on a day she had a morphine drip and a Bacardi latte so I got special treatment, but it's also equally possible that she just isn't the raving bish the prior comments would make it seem.

Some of us actually take things like war, womens choice, brutality, state sponsored torture, global warming, genocide etc serious. People have opinions and they arent always going to match and some people are empassioned about those opinions and ideals. Call it fighting, debating, arguing or whatever, but as the old saying goes :You are either part of the problem, part of the solution of just part of the fucking landscape. There may not be a right or wrong but some may choose to try to be part of the solution. That could become contentious which causes debates/fighting. Thats just life. As to the rest some of us prefer people that are open and honest and dislike situations or people that arent. But then thats also just life I guess.
