Rich, are you ignoring me?

Not by design, Tazzy, but since my point here is highlighting how distractions and a quest for irrelevant outrages is the Democrats re-election strategy, reading today's version of the new storyline doesn't hold much interest.

And I'm heading off to town here, in a just a bit.

Vice President Biden think President Obama is in the wrong on Uganda:

Vice President Biden at odds with His President

One would think (although, I'm not sure) the the Vice Presidential oath is nearly identical to the Presidential oath. So, I'm forced to ponder: If a VP believes that the President is in the wrong, is he duty-bound to do something about it?

Peace and comfort,

Michael

There's a history of this, especially when the Pres. and VP were elected separately, and could be from different parties. Perhaps an interesting thread of its own.

Why are you comparing reducing violence to woman to fixing toilets?

Belittling and objectifying women has no place in any rational discussion.

You should really apologize.

That whole Woman == Toilet thing is over the line.

LOL, Fargle!

farglebargle -> RE: Next up on the Democrat manipulation of women agenda (3/18/2012 3:16:05 PM)

Yeah, we KNOW that Republicans treat violence against women as a joke. It permeates their cognitive framework so deeply that when confronted directly with it, they can only be amused by your suggestion that it's WRONG.

And that's what makes this thread so fucking retarded. No-one can take Republicans seriously when they TRY to play these cards.

That's certainly an interesting clip from Panetta. I hadn't seen that one, so thanks Michael for posting, and Muse for quoting.

Proving once again that the Democrats would rather campaign and demonize the opposition than govern in any sort of effective manner, the Senate is getting ready to turn the Violence Against Women act into the next talking point in their crafted narrative.

The Democrats are governing, that's what started this current firestorm. Sorry man your party threw themselves under the bus on this one and I don't think narrative crafting is going to be enough to save them this time.

Last time the Senate had a budget on the floor, things didn't go well. Does the next band aid fix get voted on before or after the Nov election?

You are right. I had forgoten the Senate has avoided basic government up to now. Like a budget. Thanks for the reminder. I can see why since suddenly all these more important items keep coming out of the woodwork. We should maybe double the Senate size so they could have the time now to do a budget. Oh wait, they did get a budget from Obama but ... umm... I forget what they did with it...did they fail to take it up or did they just ... what? What the hell are they doing there anyway? We should fire the bums. Jeeze. Soon. Very soon. Jeeze, you'd think they would like a budget Obama sent them, is he not their fearless leader? WAIT. These guys in the Senate are not stupid so maybe they know something about Obama we don't...like he does things that could get them fired.

Yea because we know Republicans are for Womens rights?Sarah Palin doesn't count.Don't pick a Lady who is more against Womens rights than the majority of male democrats are.

I am amazed. I did not know Sara Palin dosen't count. Yes, please keep thinking that. The more you trash that successful woman the more women like you. It's true! You can trust me on this. It's not snake oil. I heard that on MSNBC or maybe it was HBO this time, and yes, she is a "dumb bitch" according to that guy who speaks for the Democratic Party from his HBO show, the alter ego of Rush. So, all you Democratic womens rights proponents remember how tolerant and respectful of women the Democratic spokesperson is.

I'm sure women love to hear how you trash women. Sara Palin is a woman. Perhaps from this thread I can gather that it is only Democratic women who have rights. From this I gather there is a war on women of the right. That is an interesting but perhaps obvious revelation that I just now got. I get it now. I'm sure women get it also. I'm sure they as a group think that is not very good. Because most women are intelligent. Including Governor Palin of Alaska.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Next up on the Democrat manipulation of women agenda (3/18/2012 5:08:40 PM)

It's okay. The lefties that perpetrate their war on conservative women are just as closed-minded as the ex-Gov. They're "palinos".

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Just because a wolf is in sheeps clothing doesn't make it a sheep.Sarah Palin is more against womens rights than for them.Sure, was successful at one time.I don't care if Palin was a girl or guy,she stands for everything that is wrong with the Republican party.Don't worry, the RNC spokeman,Rush should be out to back you up right after he pops a few pills.

Could you tell us what she was successful at?

Oh.....and I apologize for calling Sarah a cunt.....

What's wrong with it, Ken, is that the Senate would rather tinker with an 18 year old law, so they can have election year press conferences about that, and sling slurs about how some people must be in favor of violence against women, than get on with some actual work.

Thats hardly what your own link points to Rich. It seems to me this is about women senators fighting for womans rights.

If anything the only slurs being thrown are not those you mention, but those of Republican senators thrown at these women.
