Stop posting links to news articles, and start posting links to the law.

That claim has already been debunked by TWO 9-1-1 callers saying that Zimmerman was standing over Martin's dead body IN THEIR BACKYARD.

Since Zimmerman is the ARMED GUY CHASING AFTER THE LITTLE KID, than it's clear that Zimmerman was the attacker, and ANY FORCE MARTIN USED AGAINST THE ARMED GUY CHASING HIM is totally lawful.

As per Zimmerman's exception to 776 under 776.043 and Martin's coverage under 776.013.

Just ask yourself, "IF I WAS BEING CHASED AT NIGHT BY AN ARMED ASSAILANT TWICE MY SIZE, HOW CLOSE WOULD I LET THEM GET BEFORE I FELT THREATENED?"

LOL! Argue your normative statements (that you conflate as facts) with me in the other thread.

I wonder if there are pictures of what I bolded below. If the cops did in fact see this, it does provide a reasonable explanation for why they didn't charge Zimmerman.

ORLANDO - A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.

Our sister station, FOX 35 in Orlando, has spoken to that witness.

What Sanford Police investigators have in the folder, they put together on the killing of Trayvon Martin few know about.

The file now sits in the hands of the state attorney. Now that file is just weeks away from being opened to a grand jury.

It shows more now about why police believed that night that George Zimmerman shouldn't have gone to jail.

Zimmerman called 911 and told dispatchers he was following a teen. The dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

And from that moment to the shooting, details are few.

But one man's testimony could be key for the police.

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.

Stop blaming the victim.

MARTIN DID NOTHING WRONG.

He wasn't tresspassing. He wasn't breaking and entering.

HE WAS COMING BACK FROM THE CANDY STORE WHEN HE WAS MURDERED.

Period.

Now, stop with this racist, "Blaming the Victim" shit. Just STOP SPECULATING THAT THE **INNOCENT DEAD KID** did anything wrong.

When you hear a woman is raped, do you start speculating what she did wrong?

Wellllllllllllllllllllllll Mr Prosecutor do you have a final statement for the court before we enter a judgment of self defense?

This is not correct. I recall that witness being quoted in several of the early reporting articles. The title of the article is false; the witness saw a struggle, he never said who instigated and therefor who attacked whom.

I don't recall any account of police claiming that this witness "saw it all," not to say that it isn't possible such claim was made.

From what I could discern in the several reports of this witness' account, he saw a struggle in process in which Martin seemed to have gained the advantage.

What neither this report nor any other I have read regarding this witness indicates is that this person witnessed the onset of the physical struggle so as to see who attacked whom at the outset.

If Zimmerman didn't do anything wrong, why's he afraid to explain it to a judge. Like the law says?

In the published Sanford PD incident report, which witness statement is this?

If this isn't an official witness statement or sworn deposition, why should we believe any of it?

Answer the question. It's simple enough for even you.

You're walking alone at night minding your own business. You're being followed by an unknown person you've never met, and who isn't wearing a uniform or anything. You walk faster, he speeds up. You hear him breathing heavily as he struggles to keep up.

How close do you let this stranger get before you consider your safety to be important?

We could turn the US into Afghanistan, where everyone is armed and grudges never die. Seems to be working well over there.
