Medvedev replied in English, “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir,”

At least he's president while making deals with Russia that will culminate after the election. Unlike Reagan making deals with Iran.

...Obama called missile defense “extraordinarily complex, very technical” and said it would be virtually impossible to win broad consensus in Congress for any new major security agreements with Russia in an election year.

“First of all, are the mikes on?” Obama began, eliciting laughs.

Turning serious, he said: “I don’t think it’s any surprise that you can’t start that a few months before a presidential and congressional elections in the United States, and at a time when they just completed elections in Russia, and they’re in the process of a presidential transition where a new president is going to be coming in in a little less than two months.”

He added: “Frankly, the current environment is not conducive to those kinds of thoughtful consultations. The stories you guys have been writing over the last 24 hours is probably pretty good evidence of that. I think we’ll do better in 2013.”

Any Treaty negotiated by Obama after the election is subject to Consent of the Senate.

Just more needless political frenzy on the Right . . . . and also by Romney whatever end of the spectrum he may occupy at the moment.

Well, I dont see how thats a hidden agenda, particularly since there is a law that says you can only be president twice.

Every president says they have more ability after the presidency, cuz they can tell individual congressmen or the entire congress to eat shit, and as private citizens are not unlawful (and oft times not wrong) in doing so.

Seriously folks.....for myself I was outraged to realize that the American President is.....wait for it,a fucking politician.
Imagine that,the man that sits in that chair...is an actual,election facing,politician !
I am quite sure,and have no doubts,that this is the very first time political considerations,political realities have played a part in decision making [8|]
Is it possible that this is an impeachable offense ?
