That is what I said, and now everybody is reading everything that they can from it.  Could I have said that better?   Yeah, it was too broad brush for what I was trying to get at.   I know the thread started at a cmail stalker, and then went on to other things....

But here is the final on this little bit.   You now have me saying (in some sort of fucked up equivalence) that I said "girls are asking for it" and 'the victims of stalkers are to blame.'

Yanno, it is seemingly puerile to point out to anyone over the age of 10 that Shakespeare did not say, 'All that glitters is not gold."  However, there are a good many things that Shakespeare did not originate that  are communicated all the time.  (unctuous means oily, or greasy, or smarmy (if you are from the UK, btw)

I did not say that anyone on this thread has cried *boohoo* or played a victim card.  Please attribute that to Shakespeare or anyone else, but not me.

I had a thought in passing, amongst other thoughts, and people decided to focus on that and impart something into it I had no wish to convey.

While I've never done that, I'm not exactly clear on why that would inspire an "ew" response. no, you're not odd, and i agree 100%. the "ew" can be a learned immature response. i think it sort of is a man woman thing. it's ew if they're creepy, and hot if they're not. sort of cus i can relate even as a man.

yes, u did say that. not going to mentally masturbate with u by quoting your own words to throw them back up to you. i read every word. i didn't let my emotions guide any interpretation. in fact, they initially resonated with me, until i realized they were totally one-sided and sounded bitter.

if u rly don't believe what your own intended audience believes you espoused, then man-up and take responsibility that you fucked up the message and correct it, rather than focusing on taking umbrage that no one understood u and how right you are.

You said I said it, now go hunt it up.  Then you have your apology.  Now, don't translate what I say, go find that sentence, tell me what post, or something substaintially like it (you understand 'substantially like'?)  and quote it for me (you appear to be adept at whole post quotes, now we need the offending sentence) without the what you are really saying, or the this means this because I imagine it does crap, no imputations, no impugnments no inference, no smear or spin.....

Turns out that when I do write them and ask them if I can help them, if they do write back, I usually get the same answer "I was hoping you are single now". I just write back and tell them no I'm not. They still continue to look hoping one day they'll be the lucky one to get a chance at me. I just shrug my shoulders and ignore them. It's not hard at all to do. I don't let petty little things bother me. If I let it bother me it's time for me to turn off my computer.

Every now and then I'll go off for a perv-search and sometimes at women who, I'll then realise, I've looked at only recently. Occasionally, one of these will write and say, 'Can I help you?' - or similar. I politely reply with something like, 'No, I just popped by for an ogle, that's all'. They've always seemed fine with that. If they haven't been, I've never heard about it.

Yet, they still keep stopping by. I dont know - I suppose because I dont go and look at people over and over again - I think its a bit creepy.

As one who apparently explicitly tells this guy or that guy that you are not interested... That is actually admirable in my book, of the percent you say you are not interested in, and I expect it is a great deal, because you are interesting, how many of those come back at you after and say: you fake, you lying whore; you man in disguise?
And how many of those lookers are maybe pensively looking at your photos and profiles and pensively wishing upon a star, sighing and pining for you, hoping against hope, and all that rot?
In correllary (cuz I get skads of them, (invisible profiles who dont show on my whos viewing me that must be repeat offenders)
and does that creep you out?

I mean this is seeming like women think of this akin to rudely and inappropriately staring at your boobs in public, or even trying to peek up your dress, or do I have that wrong?

I'm beginning to wonder about the same point. I've always vaguely assumed that looking at a woman's profile here is akin to looking at a woman walking by on the street. Not avidly, mind - not aggressively - just looking, in interest, and maybe appreciation. It hadn't crossed my mind that a woman would feel perturbed by that. Mind you, multiple looks - that would feel rude. Just like multiple looks at a woman on the street, I suppose. Well, whatever, it'd be good to know: one doesn't want to offend.

Status: offline 		But all agreed P.   Now if I walked into a local pub, and even if a woman I found attractive and/or interesting (whatever the allure) gave me that eye snap every time (which we cant see here) I looked at her when I came into that place we both frequent........well, guv, I wouldn't be a prick about it, but by god my eyes can light on whatever intrigues them, and if they are having conniptions over it......well, its a big girl pantie day, innit?

Because this is not a walk down the street in a foreign place and espy someone once.  many of us have histories....often when a woman (especially out of my league, and they are legion)  my missive will go exactly like this, (since I know not whatever to say to them)  (and for all the non-english speaking here, men look at women too so dont impute anything, and they do answer here and there) :
