In D/s or M/s relationships, I think it is pretty common for the Dom or Master to call the sub/slave names. If she has a particular disliking to namecalling that should be taken into account. If a Dom calls someone names that he/she is not in a relationship with, he/she is out to lunch.

I have not read all of the reply's to this thread. But I can relate to your questions enigmabrat as in answering from my experience. Master calls me "bitch" 24/7. And I like that. Is has become part of me. And When someone else calls me bitch I don't get defensive at all. The only time Master uses "slut" or "whore" or "cunt" is in play. And it sets the mood. Master and I discussed the difference in what whore and slut means and in my mind they make me react differently than some people. When He calls me a slut. I get into the "go all night" mode. And when He calls me a whore I go into "aggressive" mode. The harder and faster we go and the dirtier Wwe can get the better. So for me the words are a mental state it takes me too. ~fast reply~ You know....it is not just D/s and M/s relationships where this happens. I do not think giving pet names (i.e. slut, bitch, ho, hunny bunny, snookums, pookey, cum guzzlin fuck face) to someone is kink specific.

Okay so here is the flip side I used to call my last Dom.. Mean Ass Evil Sadistic Daddy. Some Doms would find that disrespectful he would just look at me chuckle and go your damn right I am and go on about his business.

I'm addressing this comment to not only enigmabrat but to any readint this tread who have problems with being called names. I get called my fair shair of named whioch are usually derogatory and aimed to either put me down, embarase me or put a hole in my credability. I have fould that a reasonably quick whit, keeping my famius temper under tight control and a machevelean sence of humour stands me in good stead. recent example ~ I was out at a social event when one particular person whom I had just met decided to lace ito me and make me the but of his tastekless jokes infront of both his family and Neets's family. His own parents who do know me pulled him up when he was mocking my achievenments in both the Military andEducational fields. His problem with me was the 30 year age difference between Neets and I, however when he continually refered to me as a wanker and my repugnance to hit him infront of his young children, I just grined and commented "Yep I am a wanker. In fact I can claim to be the biggest wanker in Australia! Er,, just what is your sence of achievements again?" Even if some name you are called, really hurts you can get past that and often enough turn the tables on the name caller. Ok it is more difficult if the name caller is your master and dealing with that will be dependent on the relationship of you two and the dynamics involved,

I have been called THE Bitch, whore, slut, cunt, piece of shit white trash; just to name a few [:)] All by people who would willingly lay their life down for me if necessary. Of course, now I am going to have to tell them to stop because it's insulting. I really wish people would let me in on these things. [8D] Seriously though; if you don't like it, tell them. I assume you are an adult with a mind of your own? And that you are capable of using that mind, In conjunction with the spoken word?

I'm using fast reply because I really don't want to go through all of the posts to find the right one to respond to. I have a Dom friend who called me a slut for the first time 2 years ago. From him it was a badge of honor. It meant I had finally moved out of my fear and into real life and was willing to explore my sexuality. This does not mean that every person on the street has a right to call me that. Their definition of the word is very different from my friend's. His calling me that meant something special to me. Others calling me that would probably get me doing something very naughty, but highly approved of by my Dom friend! LOL

While being called names like those are not something I like due to past issues, I respect the fact that many DO like/love to be called such. It's not my thing, but if it's thiers, hey, more power to em. Be happy. If it's not your thing simply tell them so and if they don't respect it being a limit for you and something you want no part of then move on and remember, block and delete are your friends.

Well, if a man that I'm interested in calls me a "fucking whore" or a "filthy slut", I hope it's because he wants me to melt into a puddle, rip his clothes off, and start planning to move in with him... ...Because that's what's going to happen!
