Nutmeg dealers were often accused of selling fake nutmegs made out of wood, so they got the reputation of being frauds and shysters. That's also why Connecticut got the nickname "The Nutmeg State", because merchants from Connecticut supposedly did that.

In essence, incivility is not a new thing in politics.

Status: offline 		It isn't just politics that are not civil, in fact the OP refers to an incident that has nothing to do with politics. The media has become progressively less civil over the years. Reality TV, daytime shows whose target audiences are low grade morons. The only solution to to turn off the TV and quit watching that shit.
As for political incivility, well there is no solution for that. Both sides are so divisive and so far apart, the only solution is for the two sides to divide up the country and go our separate ways. To tell you the truth, I don't even want to be a citizen of the same country as MSLA, and those who think like him/her.
