Is it not true that junior enlisted men would make up about that percentage?
Since it is a neurological fact that men's brains do not fully develop till about age 25 and junior enlisted men are typically well under 25...geee what a coinkidink

If they do, and speak outloud of it, they are toss. I recall some US Marine whom recently did such a thing. He was an officer (ok, a Sergeant). He was told several times to stop it and he didnt. They not only threw him out of the military but gave him a dishonorable discharge. Made the headlines and we even had a thread on it. Where have you been RJ?

A new Gallup poll released on Memorial Day shows male veterans breaking strongly for Mitt Romney over President Obama.

The presumptive GOP nominee receives support from 58 percent of all veteran registered voters surveyed to Obama's 34 percent. Among non-veterans though, Obama holds a four point edge, with 48 percent to Romney's 44.

George Rommney s citezenship because his parents though citeaens were in Mexico when he was born.

It has happened before but only to white candidates so it was easily forgotten.

Based on my personal and almost daily experience, currently serving members of the military definitely prefer their previous CinC over the FRAUD they now have.



Don't know who you're talking to but the men and women of my acquaintance in uniform report fairly universal hatred of W for dropping them in the sandbox for no good reason.

The young men with whom I served tended Republican to such an extent that I'm always surprised when I see older vets at the VA arguing with Fox News or Republican candidates (whatever VA facility, the channel in the waiting room is Fox News) but it never occurred to me that there might be an age factor at play.

And you're right back to passive agressive ad hominen. I'm actually surprised it took you all of 4 posts.

The fact is I'm stil close to several guys from my time in the service who are still active duty as well as being friendly with several relatives and friends kids who are serving, as well as being on the family mailing list for my nephew's NG company. I also volunteer at the VA and assist injured former servicepeople in navigating the VA bureacracy (I make it a point to never discuss politics while doing this work but the contempt they show for W is pretty much universal).

Actually, based on the logic stated in the OP, they should have voted for Nixon. It was Democrats (Kennedy and Johnson) who began the mess in Viet Nam and who initially escalated the war (yeah, I know we had advisors there starting in the early 50's). Nixon is the one who finally ended that mess.

Good point, Hill, but I was more talking about the "bubbles" that some people live in, and the confirmation bias that they accept as reality.

In your experience have you not found that intellectual maturity tends to follow physical maturity?

Unfortunately, this country has become filled with people who vote strictly based on whether a person has a D or an R after their name on the ballot and not whether said politician can find their own ass with both hands, a funnel and written instructions.

Of course, but I hadn't associated that with switching parties from Republican to Democrat.
