She should have seen this coming..I have ZERO sympathy for her or her cronies, ass covering was not her strong point. Unfortunately Murdoch wont see a day of jail Scum sucking ditch pig.

What is it about some men that dont understand that women do NOT agree with other women just because they happen to have the same genitalia? Do you have compassion and understanding for every male you know?
I thought not.
This isnt about sexism...its about conniving, lying and being part of the "system" murdoch encourages.

A lot of women in the UK found that voting for a woman, JUST because she was a woman, to be truly horrific in outcome

Perverting the course of justice though? We'll see what this means in time.

I wonder what the course of justice would have been if they didn't pervert it i.e. is this the only charge to come out of all of this lengthy process? Usually this charge sits alongside something else; since you can't say "We should have been able to find this person guilty if only they didn't destroy all the evidence we had to find this person guilty." If for example you were tampering with a witness in a murder trial the witness could testify about that but destroyed evidence doesn't talk.

Don't celebrate too soon, I'm kind of disappointed this is all they've got.

I for one have absoloutely no sympathy for her, watching the inquiry she gave evidence to, she came across as someone who was very calculated, but then havent most of them. If they did it actually conspire to hide facts or evidence, they are not going to admit it, especially when they can count high powered politicians as "good friends". lets face it these are people who should know better, they are responsible for employee's and what they have or had printed.
To be fair I expected the CPS to back away from charges, I did think they had the balls for it, my concern would be, will they show the same committment to the coppers who took the bribes?

I think they will have to, this is too out there for it to be swept under the rugs, however.... I do think they will cover their asses as much as they can and make it less damaging for those involved. Especially the further up the paygrade they get.

I so hope thats true, though instinct would tell me they'll make scapegoats, or examples out of a few high profiles and let the coppers walk. This is the cloest thing the UK has got to cleaning up its police and media, long over due also, as for the Murdoc's themselves I still cant understand why corporately they can't be held responsible, when I ran a shopor night club, I was responsible for any member of staff that sold something underage, alright bad example, but they are responsible for their entire staff

A life sentence if the charge sticks.
They'll be pursuing this as the phone hacking business is more flexible as to charges and prosecution. This, on the other hand, has no issue that she's looking at fifteen years even with time off for good behaviour.

More charges will follow, and for more people. At present there are anywhere between 130 and 170 detectives working on this case. I say case but there are five or so runing in tandem, all semi related. Phone hacking, bribery, payments to police etc.

Anyone remember the night Brook`s laptop turned up in a rubbish bin close to her home ? I think thats something to do with the conspiracy charge, along with the seven boxes of files that vanished from her office.

Regards payments to police, my real worry is that the cops higher up the food chain will be allowed to retire, and some low ranking ones left to carry the can. The bigger scandal is the NOTW was just one of several newpapers doing much the same thing. One of these private eyes could reveal lots more if facing jail time.

The charge has been made by someone without balls, Alison Levitt a very powerful QC, she is the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Alison Levitt had the balls, so it is a woman against a woman, how interesting, this Master just loves this scenario.
