Giving evidence to the inquiry this morning, indeed under oath, the former prime minister Gordon Brown said he and his wife had not been given a choice by Rebekah as to whether the Sun tabloid newspaper revealed the information regarding the fact that Gordon Brown's four-month-old son Fraser had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis .
Gordon may have been on oath, but what he forgets is that his wife was friends with Rebekah, now Rebekah Brooks said she only decided to run the story because she felt the Browns had given her permission back in November 2006 when the Sun tabloid best selling UK National newspaper made this public.
These are the risks a prime minister or someone in the run up to being a prime minister takes when his wife is friends with the editor of the UKs Best selling high volume sales National Newspaper, women chit chat as women do, Rebekah is a woman and a compassionate one also regarding children, so this published story benefited Gordon Brown more than damaged him , this evidence from Gordon Brown is favourabvle to Rebekah as indeed it should be.
