ORIGINAL: yourdarkdesire Well, it appears that I am the minority person here - because everything Mark had to say was spot on for my experiences. He described my hubby perfectly. He described me perfectly. It is a shame that most of you women care so little about the men in your lives, that you would bother to ask what they were thinking about. One of the basic parts of communication ya know. Oh, ouch. I care very much about what the man in my life is thinking about. I have come to learn, though, that the question "What are you thinking about?" is annoying. I try not to annoy the man in my life, as best as possible. If your husband isn't annoyed by you asking him, great. It's not something I choose to do, but it does not equate to me caring less than anyone else does. I consider the ability to listen at the time he wants to talk to be a more basic part of communication than trying to draw something out of him that he doesn't want to give. "What are you thinking about?" is right up there with "Tell me you love me" and that ridiculous sign that people hang over their beds, for Pete's sake, "Always kiss me goodnight." Annoying and forced.
