Backwards, Moon. It's a thread about all the people who jumped around like they had remote control zapper butt plugs dipped in Tobasco up their asses, about President Bush II's conduct of military operations, but see nothing wrong anywhere with President Obama regularly signing off on execution orders, including such orders against US citizens.

Yeah, I know. That baa-aaad President Bush was so stupid, except for the time he tricked all the Democrats into voting for his war, but the radiant President Obaaa-ma was completely right when he invented the remote control exception to the War Powers Act, and didn't bother with whether Congress liked it or not.

Again, you're ignoring what was posted. Not at all as you characterize it.

People.

War. is. Dumb.

Throw all the hippie kumbaya peacenik lily-livered unrealistic unpatriotic weakling nonGorean twue-men bullshit at me you like. It's a prelude to negotiation, and at a high cost, enriching not the nation or the victors, but the manufacturers of equipment and supplies. Stop fighting them.

I'm against Obama's war, I was against Bush's war, I was against Reagan and Bush I's extra-curricular excursions. Dumb.

Let the flames begin. But they won't make war any smarter.

Osama bin Laden was fantastically successful. In a day, he got us ruining ourselves to the cost of trillions, ongoing into perpetuity, and rallying around the flag to do it. He made George Bush and benefited the oil industry immeasurably, insuring continued high demand and greater production.

So people die. All in the name of the economy, right?

War. is. Dumb.

but the Mullahs control most everything, including tribal law. they're backwards fucked.

The British controlled everything in the 13 colonies too, sometimes you either shit, or get off the pot.

Dayum, didn't know those British had automatic machines guns and controlled every morsel of food.

Never mind the practical stuff.... what I am astonished at is the poster doesn't realize the hilarity of that kind admonishment coming from someone who by virtue of their screen-name would be most likely to have "Yes Mistress" as his favorite phrase.

So which of these two was it who invaded Iraq under false pretences?

I actually approve of the tactic of killing everyone in the vicinity, frankly if their not already supporters, their sympathizers. If you kill enough of them, eventually they'll figure out that hiding Terrorists is bad for your health, and withdraw support.

Delightful. Just delightful.

Either they'll withdraw their support, or become terrorists themselves, along with anyone outside of the area who identifies with them.

Altogether now, music by John Lennon:

"All I am saying
Is give war a chance"

Sooner or later they'll have to overcome their fear of these hate spewing Mullah's and turn against the bullies, or die a broken people.

Or, they overcome their fear of the US, and turn against the other set of bullies in this game.

They're doing that already, which is presumably why rob thinks that killing everybody in the country is the way forwards.

Or option three is they stop strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up their neighbors, and flying airplanes into buildings.

Well, if they want to human bomb their neighbors, who are we to judge, unless you want to also cut down the large sodas as Mayor Bloomberg does in NYC, regarding the other half of your non sequtur, we are not indulging in the war on terrorism with the Saudis.

Again, in case you missed it the first time, "forward" is Obama's motto.

FR-

OP, i don't think disingenuous topic titles are a good way to advocate a position. Obama is obviously not engaging a "war on teenagers".

I know, I was tweaking the progressive Obama supporters with the title.

I actually approve of the tactic of killing everyone in the vicinity, frankly if their not already supporters, their sympathizers. If you kill enough of them, eventually they'll figure out that hiding Terrorists is bad for your health, and withdraw support.

Well, good luck with that as a strategy. After all, it's worked so well throughout human history.

Kinda the reasoning behind "Some Americans have done some things we don't like, so we should commit terrorism against all Americans."

Exactly.
Good luck getting that point through his pointy little head, though.

The only thing man is better at than killing is reproducing, it's just a matter of time before that trend reverses itself.

That worked so well in Southeast Asia didn't it?

We've been killing them since 1801, why stop now, right?

It could have, if the weak assed politicians would have gotten out of the way, and let the soldiers prosecute the war the way it should have been fought.

Armies are beholden to governments for the most part, the politicians never will get out of the way cuz they are the guys that start it.   Now, even military folks who you would think might be rip raring to go at every chance are not really behind wars as much as you armchair generals are.
