ORIGINAL: Nosathro As we are on the Stand by your ground laws, let look at incident in Arizona. I done some research and found some interesting facts. First off, under Arizona traffic laws, Adkins was walking his dog, a Labrador (these dogs are more dangerous the pit bills) as reported Jude was attempting to leave the parking lot of a Taco Bell. As per Arizona traffic law 28-793. Crossing at other than crosswalk, a pedestrian has the right of way and Jude is required to yield to Adkins. ( I am sure the NRA would argue that all this is not a crime so it does not matter.) Jude slammed the brakes fast in order to avoid hitting Adkins, I don’t know about anyone else but the speed limit at my local Taco Bell is 5 mph. There is also a sign at the exits that says “Watch out for pedestrians, there is also the walking stick figure. Jude yelled “Watch it” and also made some obscenities at Adkins, ( I am sure the NRA people if they encountered the same thing would just smile, wave and say “Have a nice day”). Jude then states that Adkins from out of no where responded by taking a bat or was it pipe and started swing, no damage or injuries report and the Police could not find anything like a pipe or bat. (Of course NRA would now say that this proves Adkins was trying to kill Jude and he had to defend himself.) Jude exits his car, pulls out his hand gun, Adkins swings his arm like he was trying to hit Jude. (More proof that Adkins was a dangerous criminal, I am sure the NRA people in this situation would just smile and say “Hey nice piece!”) Jude then shot Adkins in the in the torso, who died a short time later. Jude still could not leave because the dog laid at Adkins side. Jude told police he did not think Adkins was going to kill him, but he was afraid Adkins would harm him, his wife and the unborn baby. So another example of proof that the “stand your ground” law save a the people of Arizona from another crazed gang banger who roamed the streets praying on poor inocent people. “The presumption that a person acted reasonably is appropriate“, says Charles Heller, co-founder of Arizona Citizens Defense League, which advocates for gun rights Where does this Charles Heller quote come from ? I think most, even us gun lubbers here, would question the notion that deadly force was warranted in this particular case. As far as what you're so sure of that the NRA and their people would think, I think you're whacked out of your mind[8D] Charlie Heller as stated is the co-found of the Arizona Citizens Defense League, supported the NRA in passing the "stand your ground law" in Arizona. This is his quote when the press asked him to comment on the Adkins case.
