Move along ... nothing to see here .... they aren't Republicans, yanno. (a la Jay Townsend).
(post 19)
Yeah. Just like I said. You won't acknowledge "hate speech" by lefties ... because you sympathize with them.
In the left's world, this is because "their cause is just" and they are "morally superior" and "more intelligent" than all those criminal, stoopid and mentally retarded Republicans and conservatives.

The funniest part of this whole dance the last few posts, is that Yachtie was the one quoted and responded to. And, Yachtie's post wasn't even calling anyone in particular out! So, Moose-man, and Digital-boy, ya'all might want to head back into the forest on this one. That you took it so personal just might mean you saw yourselves being attacked, which only means you're most likely guilty of behavior being mocked by Yachtie and Firm.

Damn, good stuff, guys. Damn good.

Yes, excrement-boy.........hella hilarious.   Don't know what you are on about, but you are sure et up with it.  I know you would like to appear to have some form of intellect.

Here's the deal....Walker was against unions. Not because of who they are....but because of what they historically (and consistently) do.

He was against the padded deals that had been so predominant in his state for decades and he was determined to stop the bleeding.

Indeed, he said "Ya know what? We're done with all this loaded pension shit where inflation is 2% and your pension goes up by 5 or 6%"

And guess what?

The population of his state said "Yeah that sounds fucking logical.....I'm at best getting to KEEP my job....the state workers get that and another 10% or more with medical that was 100% paid" (including families), many of the employees getting cars paid for, insurance and fuel (which was often used gregariously for personal use) and there were dozens of other examples.

Walker said one very clear thing which resonated with the taxpayers.....

"NO!!!!!!.....ENOUGH!!!!! Starting NOW!!!!!!"

And the electorate voted him (back) in.

You want to hate Walker?

Why don't you pay the excess taxes that Wisconsin uproariously said no to.

(And yeah....it was the unions that fueled this campaign against him...no one else).

And it doesn't have a damn thing to do with Republicans or Democrats (by the way, Wisconsin is a HEAVILY Democratic state, and the Democrats voted him back in!). It has to do with one very simple thing: "Who's paying the damn bill?"

You are...and you're about to see this flare up nationwide.

And the people of the state said NO!

The Davis Bacon Act which assures union PLUS wages for non union companies DARING to compete with union firms on federally funded projects.

Guess what?

The guys that pave a 7-11 for 19 bucks an hour do just as nice of a job as those working on a federal job making $47.00 an hour.

The difference?

Pretty basic math: $28.00 an hour.

It's that simple.

If you're paying a million bucks a mile for roadwork.....you COULD be paying $600,000 a mile.

It's that simple. And there's easily hundreds of other examples where the unions have infiltrated the system over the last 70 years.

Imagine this: A corporation can't talk to another and establish common rates on products. That's called "collusion".

Unions can.

That's called fair trade practice.

And guess who pays for it?

(That would be you).

Hey, Ron, I don't classify you as a "lefty". You are in your own unique category, all by yourself! [:D]

In case you missed my comments in the thread you quoted (as did I), I said that Townsend should have been fired, no problem. And he was.

So you are kinda backwards/late to the game on the same issue in this thread.

Not sure what the gloating is about....

Walker`s critics didn`t have much to lose(he was already in office) and everything to gain.

What did Walker Get?....

Only to keep his job.

Being recalled is embarrassing enough in itself.

In the end.....the democrats came out ahead.....taking and holding control of the Senate.

This was a scrimmage for November. The real election.

Owner,

The "Democratic controlled" Senate will likely never meet. The Democrats have a "majority" of one, and it isn't scheduled to be in session before the next general election.

Redistricting will be in effect for the next election, putting several of the current Dem controlled seats in danger. It's likely that Republicans will take back control before it matters.

The unions staked out a position, pulled out all the stops, and spent millions of dollars in an attempt to "show their power" and intimidate elected officials by an example of what "crossing them" would result in. They lost.

While it might not encourage other governments to take them on, it certainly is an object lesson that the public can, and will support reduction in union control of budgets, and that fear of the union's political power isn't completely justified.

So, while union sympathizers can spin it the way you are above, there are other important lessons in the mix that certainly will not improve the Dem or union position over the next few years as more and more governments determine that they must find a path out of the excessive PSU demands.

Firm. Does it surprise you that he won this one by a larger margin than when he was originally elected? it mildly surprised me.

It didn't suprise me in the least. Why not? Because only half-way into his term he had already accomplished what he promised during his original campaign he would accomplish by the end of his term, and the people rewarded him for it.

Precisely. And, last time I checked, weren't Dems pro-choice? LOL

Only for simpletons
There are some major engineering differences between the parking lot at the 7-11 and an interstate freeway.

Perhaps if you paid 2 million per mile you might get a road that would not have to be repaired daily?

Yes before the unions children could be worked in the mines because the tunnels could be smaller.
Before unions lifefor those who work for a living was quite different.
Had you ever read a history book intended for someone beyond the fifth grade you would be aware of this.
Why is it that you wish to limit how much money labor can make but not management?

Perhaps you might acquire a dictionary with more words than pictures. Then you would be able to find the difference between colusion and fair trade practice.

itsSIRtou -> RE: "Progressive" and union excuses for the Walker win .... (6/7/2012 2:51:22 PM)

well ladies and (some arent) gentlemen.... here's what we're going to have to get used to...

Allrighty, everyone start making space in the trunk of ur car for carrying asphalt since it doesn’t take brains to fix or build roads. That way we can save taxes on that... except for the wealthy....we wouldn’t want u to soil ur nice bently, bmw, or lexus doing anything to help the middle class pay for anything since they’ve been SO busy creating jobs….with those bush tax cuts the last 11 years!

now in winter, lets all have trucks with snowplows, if we all (except u wealthy folks!) pitch in, the tax savings will be tremendous! We'll show those over-paid state road workers that it dont take all day to plow every road curb-to-curb in a Snow Belt state. u all wanted a snow day without pay and use our own gas & road salt money to do it anyway. Just use the same space in ur car u used for asphalt to carry the salt!! We'll show u lazy state and county employee bastards how its done!!

Next, get rid of all those expensive policemen & state troopers with college degrees in law enforcement... we can just have smart all-volunteer cops like george zimmerman running around get'n his ass kicked, and shooting teens, and besides with everyone "standing their ground" ...if we're lucky, road rage will really cut down on congestion & drive time during rush hour.....just if u DO get shot because ur too slow on the draw, please pull over to the side and die? (No EMT's or county hospitals! save some cha-ching there too!) I mean really, DO show SOME considerations will u? Make sure u call AAA to tow u away with ur dying breath. (That ought to make the gun lobby really happy!) Dont forget to buy stock in smith & Wesson!!.... a nice real wood (stock) one with charlton hesston’s face carved into it will sell real well at ur estate sale![:D]

Lets really save tax money on picking up road kill, by making it illegal for u to NOT take ur road kill home with u,.... u keep what u kill... no matter what it smells like or how badly u mangled it.... the threat of skunks ought to get people driving more defensively dont u think? This thing where currently a WI driver can kill a deer and the carcass lay on the side of the road in plain view for over a year is sad but hey, by making u take it home at least the roads will be cleaner and think of all the fresh healthy tax-saving-no-road-worker protein folks will get!! (minus the dirt, chrome, glass, & plastic crunchies!!)

....speaking of car damage, u ARE going to sweep up after urself from ur little oop-sy arent u? hmmm?[sm=crop.gif]

Let just get this over with and go to a totally fee-based government. if u want a law enforced so bad? u go pay for it. Who ever has the most money gets the most "just us" justice. Did u work a ton of overtime and ur boss tells u he's not gonna pay it? AND/OR he punches u out for breaks but makes u work through them anyway? Even if thats against the labor laws? u go retain a lawyer for a $1000.00 that will sue him for it. BUT if ur employer screws u over for less than a $1K, what’s the point? Mind u the court systems allready clogged. SO....dont forget ur court fee!! Now THAT’S what I call getting government out of the way of business!! ask Wal-Mart in Minnesota how well a class-action wage lawsuit works!

so there! just a few of the things Wwe middle class people can do to save the wealthy from eventually paying more of their fair share in taxes!

just in case some of u cons dont think Im serious,... actually I am!

I would emplore you not to buy the stock or the product of these eodipal adolescents. Smith&wesson are no longer an american company and are owned by the britts who upon taking ownership gave, without being asked,to the batf all of the comany records concerning all past sales.
