And....about that guy that doesn't show up. That says he will many times with many people but then doesn't. Maybe he is shy, or scared. We get it you are out and loud and proud to the point that you have no issues with sharing your illness with others but maybe, hopefully, there are some that would really like to and aren't because they don't want to hurt others. So all they have is their little net dreams and play sessions via emails. Yeah, it sucks for those of us that are looking for something real but it isn't like they are actually hurting you.

This conversation has often missed the points I have tried to make. So I want to re-post a portion of my first message (italics below) -- because this is the proper context for any replies.

The point remains how to make it possible to avoid people who have no genuine interest in Master/slave or Dom/sub relationships OR who are attempting to manipulate people here into believing they are seriously interested in somebody when they are not.

I would still like to hear other suggestions regarding that.

Of course, Miss Immortal, we all have our sensors on to recognize insincere people. But that determination is not always something that happens within the first few minutes. It can take literally hours or days -- depending upon how skillful the fake/liar is at his/her art.

And, yes, it is likely that a certain number of fakes/liars (i.e. the ones who are just playing and do not want any sort of recognition) -- might leave the site. So, in that sense, there could be some impact but that is NOT the primary reason for my suggestion.

The primary reason continues to be to provide advance cautionary warnings to the people here who GENUINELY are into BDSM and Master/slave and Dom/sub relationships --- and I emphasize the word relationships. Brief one-time encounters can also be fun but I suspect many people on this site (and comparable ones) would like to find a soul-mate who enjoys the same type of lifestyle.

First, I'm curious about these 100 contacts/emails a week that you are getting. I think you are the first guy in My five years of being here that has actually come on the forums and made that claim. Since you're all up in arms about dishonest people, I'd like more info on that.

Second, not a soul on this site ever said it was a requirement to be into D/s dynamics to be here. If your "sensors" are not on every time you log onto the net then you are doing it wrong...period. Go play in traffic blindfolded and see how far that gets you if you don't understand what I am saying.

So you now admit you did want to have an impact on them....good job admitting you have a problem is half the solution.

Sadly it is not up to me, you, or cousin fred to decide what people are or are not looking for when they get on sites like this. And though you suspect that most people are looking for real realationships I would be willing to bet there are many women here that would say most men are not infact looking for them. More than a few men would be likely to admit it too if we could get them to waste their time coming here and give us their two cents.
