I thought the season opener was pretty good. I'm not sure that I care for the coin of the term "Billith". I'm really hoping that's going to be a singular episode instance. On the positive, I'm glad Bill has shed that skin/cocoon/whatever it was. It would have really sucked for him to do full make-up for an entire season.

I'm not sure I like the weakness that Pam is displaying. She's been used to Eric not being all she wanted him to be as far as she's concerned for a hundred years. (Sookie, yes, but not her.) Andy's children's overnight aging in years wasn't really a surprise. It was the fastest pregnancy I've ever heard of, so I was figuring they would grow quickly. I'm sure every mother laughed at Andy saying how unfair it was that he had to raise children. Even funnier was Arleen's line. "Well, when you stick Mr Happy into somebody's hoo-ha without a raincoat, this is what happens."

I have to finish the rest of season 4 (I'm on episode 7) and all of season 5 before I can be caught up.

We started watching season 4, and frankly gave up. It's just not as good a program as it used to be. The plot lines are so choppy, we decided there are better things to watch.

Too bad, b/c we both really liked the show.

Hello Goodgirlmary, welcome to the boards, I have to say that, twilight is not even a shimmer on True Blood, altho I have to admit not to have been able to watch more than an episode or two of it.
Im so glad TB back, yes Im a hopeless case, so happy to see layfayette,
my favourite bit...

All the "danger" in this show and not a single major character has been killed off. The idea of Bill being possessed by an evil, dangerous, dominant woman is kind of funny, and I suppose we can expect him to have multiple personalities.

Rutger Hauer never plays a good guy.

Tara is better as Vampire.

Vampires have great interior designers.

The werewolves seem besides the point.

The evil politicians are styled after backward Republicans supported by rednecks who hate illegal aliens and gays yet love religion, the death penalty, wars, guns, and big business.

I think one of the biggest differences between TB and the Twilight series is that the latter was written for young adults, so it couldn't really delve into the sexual side of things the way TB does.

Frankly, I think the leading women (Sookie, Bella) are both horrible actresses, and both are very camp and corny. But I happen to like camp and corny, so I have enjoyed both.

I have never understood the attraction of Bill, always found Eric to be really hot. Although I'm right at the point where he lost his memory and I'm not liking the gentle, kind, lacking in humor and quite the pussy Eric nearly as much. Lafayette was a favorite from the start, has always had THE best lines in the whole series.

I'm looking forward to getting to Season 5 and Christopher Meloni (love him!).

Oh, and while I realize many of you may not also be Harry Potter fans, but for those who are, did you realize that Marni/Antonia is Aunt Petunia?

Season 4 was ok. Alcide is still yummy, Eric is still pretty, Bill is still decent. I've yet to see season 5, though.

Greetings

I can not wait to sit down and watch this. I generally buy T series on DVD and then marathon them so I have not seen anything of the new season yet, but it looks so good from the trailers, I just can not wait.

Be Well
