Good episode. Much like a game of chess. The various people are being put in position. Each with their various abilities. Some in precarious positions.

Vamp of the week? Pam! On all counts. She laid herself down as a maker, giving herself up to the authority, rather than hand over Tara. (As usual, she has the best costume of the week, too. I WANT that outfit!)

I'm not sure how I am feeling about the physical traces of the various contacts with Lilith. The elder of the Fae going down when facing Russell was kind of weak.

Can't wait for the season finale next weekend!

Seen it from Season one... I like quite a few of the "minor" characters though and I have never read the books, couldn't get through the first chapter of the first book. *sigh*

I have watched this season and here a a few critical observations.

(1) The werewolf stories have been superfluous this season.

(2) The sets have been really cool.

(3) The vampire nest insanity theory seems a cross between inbreeding and canibalism.

(4) The less of Sookie, the better, as her character is the most annoying.

(5) Tara is improved as a Vampire.

(6) The shifter story angle has been weak, but its fun seeing a pair of mice running recogizance.

(7) The smoke monster was more fun and ridiculous in LOST.

(8) Jessica has evolved into the purest character.

(9) Russell is nothing more than a goofy hedonist.

(10) Goddess worship in this show always ends poorly.

The season started out kind of retarded but has gotten better with each episode
