Status: offline 		Ok I got to know, why is it that there are soooooooo many subs on this site that claim they want RT D/s relationships and I spend time, getting to know them, chatting with them and when it comes down to meeting them they are all full of crap, they are cowards! u guys seek Me out, I Never search for u, I am a Very honest person, I have online subs as well that I only chat with online, and I am fine with that, as W/we established that is what it was going to be from the begining, then there are the 1s that claim that RT is what they are seeking but when it comes down to it u guys r cowards and fakes??? if all u want is some1 to chat with just say so, be real about it,

If it's 50-50 or better, tell them that you will continue the convo IN PERSON at a local spot (choose somewhere that you'd be anyway, and bring a book, or some knitting). If they show up, well, they showed up. This is NOT a guarantee that they will ever show up again, but it's better than wasting time nattering on the net, and you've had a lovely beverage.

Status: offline 		Lots of these threads around today it seems.

Use online to establish basic compatibility; i.e., are they local enough, experienced enough, have a relationship status that works for you, and otherwise seem like, on the surface, that they would fit your needs. Pay attention to how courteous they are to you, how respectful, are they asking questions as well, etc. Know that all the info they are giving will need to be verified later. You should be able to do this within a couple days of first contact.

If everything seems to be ok on the surface, speak to them on the phone. Frankly, I keep a separate pay as you go cell phone for this. It costs me about $100/year and I only ever bother to turn it on when I want to talk with someone new.

I can usually suss out within about 20 minutes on the phone if I'm interested in meeting someone face to face. If I am, we meet within about 10 days for something simple like coffee.

I take my time getting to know someone, but that happens face to face, not online.

It's amazing how quickly the above method weeds out the idiots.

This is an issue of personal honesty and/or ethically questionable self representation.

As honest as i try to be even I have to consider where that line is.
