Status: offline 		I sounds like Hamlet. But I find this to be a tricky area for me, maybe some of you as well.
I was talking to a Dom who was all inflated by his ego. He insisted that I call him Sir because of my D/s experience. Okay I had no problem with that. But when we started talking in general about bs stuff we wound up talking about what I like, which is very kink fuckery ala E L James.

When I asked him what he was into he said you'll have to find out. SERIOUSLY- the man was not charming or smooth because my flew on the bullshit meter within the first 10 sec. I don't remember, but I am pretty sure that saying hello and having a light conversation doesn't constitute an act giving my submission.

So he pop off line and says he could always allow me to top him.. YEAH I laughed. I figured that was the end of conversation with Mr. God Gift to Domination. But he reared his misguided head again.

He asked why didn't I contact him when I seen he signed on.. My response was " I deleted your contact information because I felt we had nothing more to say. His response was he had to leave in a hurry "family emergency"(break the code) So then he asked me if I would voice and cam with him. I flatly said NO.

He asked why, I said If I voice it would be non d/s and there definitely would be no cam.
His seemed outrage that I wouldn't cam. He said " it seems like you don't trust me" My mind is racing with though of is this guy the biggest tool here. my response was" Of course I don't trust you, I don't know you. I would never put myself in a position to have my image plaster on the web by some stranger, who can take 3 minutes to know me.. which included knowing each others name.

So have you Cam or voice/cam with a stranger?

But no, I do not intentionally cam/phone/voice/ with strangers.

Status: offline 		I have never cammed and I don't go around calling strangers on here as "Sir" either. I'd say by doing that you set yourself up to fall for his bullshit. I have talked to strangers on the phone if they provided their number and when it started to stray further than just platonic talk, I hung up and erased all their info and put them on ignore so I wouldn't have to deal with their bullshit.

Status: offline 		I don't cam. I've called a couple of girls, but that kinda shit don't happen over night. I think the fastest I have called a girl from CM was after a month of chatting through mail and IM's. Wich was just recently actually. I don't want them having my number unless I'm prepared to meet them in person. If that level of intrest hasn't been reached I won't ask, and I"ll deflate any requests for it.

Status: offline 		Someone who kept suggesting I call him on the phone when we hadn't even cmailed. He accused me of playing games and then blocked me.

ETA: I would never cam. That's an easy statement to make since I don't have a cam to do it!

Not with people on personals sites, because they often have only ONE thing on their mind.

I have no reservations about voice chatting with people who are playing the same video game as me though, since the extent of their weirdness is usually "OH YEA FUCKING AWESOME LOOT!!!"

It's all about context, if you chat/voice/cam with someone from a site dedicated to kink and finding dates, then yes that's probably what the other person wants to focus on/discuss.

Status: offline 		I only recently got a cam, and I use it with people I know... I truly hate the phone (love skype, though, go figure) but I do talk on the phone pretty readily if the person is interesting enough in cmail/chat, but that's because if they're local, I am interested in MEETING.

Anyone that pulls the faux d/s routine gets no further attention from me.

Status: offline 		When speaking with a potential slave I go on cam for a few seconds to show I am who I say I am, and I require they do the same. Nothing kink related just a few seconds and a wave or whatever. And always clothed. This is usually after we have gotten to know each other on a normal level. I'm like others here, if I sense that there is some "slick cybering" about to be inserted in the convo, I politely tell them I am into the real thing, if they persist, I tell them I am no longer interested. Your gut can usually tell you when you've got a faker on your hands. Well, at least I can.

Status: offline 		When the man who became Master to me, first contacted me here we used Cmail for awhile and then moved to our regular emails.

We had never phoned nor cammed by the time we had first met.
I had no idea what he looked like but wasn't worried. (And he turned out to be gorgeous.)

We are local to each other (within 20 miles).
Once in awhile now we will engage in an IM chat, but that is not very often.
He hates the phone.
We see each other in person.

Status: offline 		That sounds like us. I had never seen a clear picture of him, we never cammed or talked on the phone....we just talked on cm for a long time. Even though we now live local, we still call and text each other throughout the day and even talk on cm. lol But then I see him all the time now too.

Status: offline 		I have never chatted on cam with someone who I felt was a stranger. You are right to feel some trepidation there. But yes, I've used my cam with a few very select people who I no longer felt was a stranger that I should be so wary of.

I have to wonder why you even replied to him, to be honest. If you weren't interested, and he was such a tool, simply stop. Wise decision to not cam, of course, but after you've declined to get to know him further, you owe him nothing.

I will give someone my cell number around the time we've decided that we have enough chemistry that we want to meet. (I may want to speak first before making this decision.)

I don't:
- Cam with strangers
- Give out my home phone
- Give a chat address that uses my last name
- Give an email that has my last name or that I use for LinkedIn, etc (which would include Facebook if I used this).

Status: offline 		I have not cammed with a stranger- I have not been asked to. If I were looking again and were asked to cam I wouldn't. I'm not interested in doing that with a stranger. Later on - sure. My Dominant and i cam often since with our time constraints and distance, we don't see each other as often as we'd like.
