If you took my yearly salary and doubled it, I would still be considered "poverty." However, I still pay all of my bills by myself. I've fully furnished several homes since turning 18. I've traveled fairly well and fairly regularly. Never to Europe, but all over the States. I've never taken a handout from my friends, my family, or the government. In fact, when someone needs money, they have a tendency to come to me first. Mostly because, I'd rather have to eat Ramen for three months straight than see someone else lose their car or house or whatever. It is because of this, that I have a HUGE problem with people who do nothing but complain. You complain about money. You complain about taxes. You complain about extra fees at the airport. You complain about rising gas prices. You complain about the cost of your insurance, your water bill, your groceries, hell you even complain about the price of a Big Mac! And somehow it is always the government's fault. Sweetheart, the government isn't responsible for everything ya know. And they can't fix everything. Get your priorities in order, make a damned budget for yourself, stick to it, and, for the love of God, STOP COMPLAINING! If I can make half as much as the cap for "poverty" and still be doing alright, you can too.
