Status: offline 		Not to sound redundant, but I'd like to repeat that I don't have the answer. I have no clue. But whatever a pregnant woman ingests, so does her baby. I wouldn't take ANY chances, if it were my child.

My last pregnancy was high stress. The doctor was concerned about the tension levels I was carrying and told me to have a glass of wine per day, because it was far better to have something naturally occurring than taking a pharmaceutical for it.

Every time I got a speech like that I allways said to myself, "God, he's so wrong! That's bullshit, I'm different. I've had different experiences and seen some shit! He didn't have a childhood like mine! I won't ever change! I'm gonna set an example!"

I don't think think like that anymore. It's not that I gave up, or that I stopped caring. I grew up. You'll get there. After a lot of hardship, heartache, and struggles.

Status: offline 		I know that's not the case with me. My opinions change all the time because I am constantly growing and learning. I realize I don't know it all and probably never will.
But please, don't write me off simply because of my age. Or simply because I have come off a bit douchebaggish occasionally, because I do know that I have.
I have not had the easiest life, especially for one as short as my own, nor have I had the most difficult. I have, however, dealt with things most people near my age have never even dreamed of, and quite a few older people have probably been afraid of but have never had to deal with it first hand.

I'm going to part here, because I'm tired of hearing the same argument over and over. And again, my apologies to anyone I've offended. That was never the intent.

While on the face of things, you might have a point, the reality is you list "your alcohol" as one of your hobbies.  In other words, you are just another drunk kid who thinks they know more than others and "you deserve everything you get in your life."  Which, if you keep thinking about alcohol that way would be to lose all those things you think you are so lucky to have.

You want to pick up a cause, try to do it without the alcohol spurring you along.  Then maybe, just maybe, you will have something worth listening to.

Status: offline 		I recently met a Marine that lost both legs and use of an arm to an IED. He is good natured, cracking jokes and determined to be able to run on his artificial legs. When talking he told me, "Nothing I do is going to change the fact that I lost my legs. So, I can choose to miserable about it, or I can choose to go on with my life and be happy that I'm alive."

I've decided that's a really good point of view.

Status: offline 		It's all well and good for you (OP) to have your personal opinions and don't want to be judged by your age, but a very important lesson you need to learn is to respect other people's opinions even if you don't agree with them. They developed their opinions the same way you are - through trial, error and life experience.

You also need to be mindful that the vast majority of regular posters here are much older than you. Some old enough to be your parents. I know it's fun "mixing" with adults, but you need to remember to act like one. If I hadn't seen your age I honestly would've thought you were 16, at the oldest because that is the level of maturity you show.

There are only two things you can change. You cannot change other people, you cannot change the world, or society.

The only two things you can change are what is going on inside your head and your perception of the world and what is going on around you. It is your decision to make use of opportunities to share those changes with others which can inspire further change. It is not a given of course, but this is pretty much what it all boils down to - inspiration.

You see you will only seek change when you understand the need to seek such changes. Everyone else is just like you, they are human, and they seek change also through necessity or desire. But then they are just like you, they are also individual.

And it is being individual which is what determines thinking and also what is right and wrong from a given perspective.

Therefore change doesn't come from taking a stand on a given issue, but from the ability to find agreement where there is disagreement and also to find peace and concord where there are differences and conflicts.

1. A drunk friend trying to drive home. Yes(take a stand)


2. A pregnant woman smoking. Iffy......if you don`t know them and they are already prego and smoking.....might be better to leave that one alone.


3. A parent cursing at their children. Legal and therefore... NOYB.


4..A teenager kicking a dog. Yes! Illegal nad wrong for adults too.
