To simply refer to Martin as "the kid" is probably minimizing his life more than the discussion is, and I seriously doubt that he would think too much one way or another about his "legacy" at the age of 17. 

Also, the discussion is less about Martin, himself, and more about Zimmerman, his actions, his attitude, and the various laws surrounding the case that seem to be being used in a morally and ethically corrupt way, which is NOT to  say that Martin's death wasn't a tragedy.

And last, to have someone with 21,000+ posts in less than 5 1/2 years come into a Zimmerman thread, or any other thread, and talk about how other people are somehow wasting their lives by posting there is kind of hypocritical, especially considering some of the rather pointless threads that I have seen you post on.  I'll tell you what...I won't come into any of the threads you enjoy posting on and complain about how you are wasting your time if you can show the same courtesy to other people.

I'm almost 44 years old. Anybody in the same age groups as My children are probably going to be referred to in that way. Teens, early twenties..... Yeah, it's going to happen.
Okay, so "it's going to happen."  But it still makes you more guilty of "minimizing" Martin than the other people that are frequenting the thread.  At "almost 44" you should be adult enough to admit that.

This thread and all of the others on the same subject remind Me of the OJ trial.  So what if it reminds you of the OJ trial?  If you don't like the content of the thread then don't bother reading it.  If someone is holding a gun to your head and making you read something you don't want to read, then let me know and I'll send the police right over to protect you. 

Oh, and if you're going to pull the "you aren't courteous" card with Me, I would suggest that you rethink your approach.  Truth hurts, doesn't it?  The simple fact is, if you expect people to extend you courtesy you need to BE courteous yourself and not get so butt hurt when you get called on your BS.  You're the one that dealt the hand, so you need to learn to live with whatever cards show up.
