I'm not obsessed, but I will admit, lately, I have noticed those who are, and that has brought Me concern. Yes, that has caused Me worry. It is not My wish that people would revolve around this topic. I would hope for something else.

Well, color me confused. Didn't you just start yet another thread with Zimmerman's name in the title?
You could have titled it "Neighborhood Watch Programs" or "Small towns and dealing with strangers". Instead you choose to use Zimmerman's name.

What is that if not provocative?

I did not do it to be provocative, Bita. I seriously don't understand.

We never had neighborhood watch while I was growing up. We didn't need it. This is why it doesn't connect for Me.

Apparently, the Neighborhood Watch George Zimmerman ran caused more problems than it prevented. You get one paranoid nutcase with a gun ignoring all the rules and their training and some innocent kid ends up dead.

Nosathro -> RE: George Zimmerman Update... (7/19/2012 4:25:59 AM)

Well there is one thing about this I do like, Zimmerman admitted he was following Martin, claimed Martin was acting suspuses. Yet the investigator has stated Martin was not doing anything wrong. Oh and let's remember Zimmerman is a proven liar.

Well let me tell you something about head injuries !

1. If someone knocks you head to the pavement, you will have a knot
the size of a small ball!

2. I hit my head on a desk that was hard, then when I fell from that hit I hit my
head again on the floor I was knocked out cold!

3. No I did not bleed, but the run to the ER in a neck brace ( this was to protect my
neck do to the whiplash effect of my head slamming to the floor!)

4. I could not walk or stand right for a week, I could not see straight for two months after!

5. So his head was smash in the pavement, now the doctor said the wound was already healing? What in the world
happen, bamad? I know you are all for him but do not be fool by anything!

6. Whatever happen to Zimmerman head happen some place else! I know about being unconsaccaz

I have during my adult life lived in Mo, Ca, Tx, Md, and Al. I have noticed that words and phrases do not carry the same meaning in all parts of the country. For example in Mo, Tx, and Al the phrase I'm not going to run means you are about to kick somebody's tail end. Even in Md it means you will confront them.

That is complete and utter horse manure and you know it.

Completely fabricated, on the spot, just in this thread, just in that post.

Here's the reality of how it works in the South, in the North, in the West, in Europe or China or Africa or South America: If somebody is following you, it's because they intend harm or ill will towards you- period. That is the understanding in any world outside of your own wacko mind. Any response to someone openly displaying that he intends harm, as in following and then intently closing the distance, is liable for whatever response to that overt aggression, and that is the understanding in any state or country I have ever been in. NC, GA, VA, IL, SC, CA, and Arkansas here.

Whatever you drank or put up your nose, go sleep it off.

Must have struck a nerve with this onee that you do not give a different meaning to that phrased as it is used where you are. And I have stated that Martin not knowing who Zimmerman was may well have felt threated. Two people attacked me over this post both by justifing Martins actions. Neither by giving an alternate meaning to the phrase.  LOL!  Two people ATTACKED you?  NOW I see why you keep referring to Martin's defense as an "attack".  And actually I DID give you an alternate meaning.  Just because it doesn't suit your claims doesn't mean it wasn't there.  Also, what we have is Martin's girlfriend's paraphrasing of what Martin said...not his exact words.  He may have said something like, "I can't run any more."  Or, when he said that he may have thought he had lost Zimmerman and didn't NEED to run any more.  But the fact that DeeDee said Martin was talking real low...like he was in hiding...and the fact that in one of Zimmerman's first statements to the police he said he saw Martin emerge from the shrubs is a pretty good indication that he was hiding and so said he wasn't going to run because that would expose his location to Zimmerman again.

Did I say that Martin did not feel threatened NO
Did I say that with what he knew Martin was not acting in self defense NO

Hannity interviewed Zimmerman tonight on FOX. The investigators gave him 3 polygraphs and none showed any deception. Unless he somehow beat the tests which I doubt I would tend to believe his story at this point and wonder why he was charged with second degree murder.

Actually, I think there is a very good possibility that Zimmerman passed the polygraph tests thinking he was being factual even about things that weren't facts.  How?  You have to remember that Zimmerman was taking two different drugs that had the potential of causing hallucinations, as well as increasing aggression, among many other possible side effects.  I think most people, after a disturbing or intense incident, often run that incident over and over through their head.  How many times do people go over an incident, after the fact, thinking, "I should have done this," or "I could have done that,"?

I think that between Zimmerman mentally reviewing the incident over and over...often adding things like his B movie dialogue...and combine that with the drugs he was taking, that he could have convinced himself that things either did or did not occur which had little or no actual association with reality, and so was able to "beat" the polygraph.

And no, I'm not a psychologist or a psychyatrist...these are simply my own musings on the topic.

Yes, I know how small towns work. Everyone already knows everyone else's business because the order of the day is to alleviate boredom and when there is nothing else to do, gossip works. I get it. I was born in a town with a bit over 800 people (no stop lights.. we didn't rate! lol)

I grew up in a small town (pop 500).. imo small towns are no safer than a city, in fact, i think it is harder to have charges pressed against someone in a small town cuz everyone knows everyone.. I hated growing up there, i was first attacked there,.. when i moved to the big bad city at 17 years old, i felt like i had been finally freed, i loved the anonimity in the city.. sure, you need to be street-wise and use common-sense but i loved it the freedom the city offered..

Polygraph "tests" are one of the easiest things to fake or trick.

Given hanity was involved, there`s no doubt the "tests" were fixed.

This was a news stunt for the less than curious(dumbasses) and another example of the George and his friends at fuxnews, trying this case in the media.

Kids still play....get in trouble and grow up, just like when we did.

I`m not sure if there is any more or less danger today than there was when we were young.

Or maybe we just didn`t know the dangers back then or never heard about them, as we do today.

Whether that was on purpose(kept from us) or just lack of reporting or the message not getting out, I don`t know. But we didn`t hear about UMs being kidnapped or abused or killed.

I can`t say for sure why but the Jerry Sanduskys and the pedophiles of the time weren`t mentioned in the media when I was growing up.

God's Plan

just read that on another news site Tazzy and in my mind, that makes him scum. Just that bit...
"Is there anything that you regret? Do you regret getting out of the car to follow Trayon that night?" Hannity asked. "Do you regret that you had a gun that night?"

"No, sir," Zimmerman, 28, replied. "I feel that it was all God's plan and not for me to second-guess it or judge it."

tazzygirl -> RE: George Zimmerman Update... (7/19/2012 7:17:30 AM)

The whole thing actually made me sick. He was following him... just watching him.... bah... the whole case is nauseating.

Lucylastic -> RE: George Zimmerman Update... (7/19/2012 7:20:02 AM)

Totally agree.

Sorry misdirected this post it was suppossed to be directed to LadyPact

But anyway, I think you are trying to get it through my thick head that you are not claiming that Martin had no right to defend himself.

We disagree on details, maybe.

No I am tring to get it through to you that both were convenced that they were only defending themselves.

You can trick the polygraph easily to make the test result inconclusive but to not to show deceptions is much more difficult. Polygraph operators are on to all the familiar tricks such as drugs and they commonly do drug screening. Polygraphs are useful law enforcement tools for investigation. If you are being investigated and you know anything about the crime it's best not to take the test.

Hannity was not involved, he simply asked the question. Law enforcement administered the tests. If Zimmerman's story wasn't accurate then I'm sure his lawyer would have advised against taking it.

There's a lot in there, but among other things there's the fact that Zimmerman is now on the record with TWO different versions of why he exited his truck. In his report to SPD, he claims he left to get the street name, but on Hannity, he claims he left to get a house number.

Owner59 -> RE: George Zimmerman Update... (7/19/2012 12:12:10 PM)

It was for the consumption of hanity viewers.....the mouth-breathers......that`s it.

And as you can see from the general reaction......no one bought it .....if anything....folks have lost any possible sympathy for George.

And trying this case in the media after all the whining about the media is a bit more than disingenuous.

And if helping George`s case was the purpose......chulk up another fail for team-zim.

That`s the thing with liars.....

They never can keep all of their stories straight.

If he does this under oath........he`s cooked.......even w/ a new judge, new prosecutor or 7 new juries.

They are so set up to catch and sting liars it scary.

Careful George.......
