ORIGINAL: Edwynn Getting too close to the edge of a cliff and then falling over it is not a freak of nature event, it is a result of simple stupidity. Following and pursuing someone when you have no authority to do so and have been specifically advised against it and know full well that the police are on the way is not a freak of nature event, it is simple stupidity. Just following not pursuing, just when did Zimmerman state he was going to detain Martin. He "followed" while still in his SUV. He "pursued" when he got out of the SUV and chased Martin on foot. Remember when the NEN officer asked Zimmerman if he was following Martin? He said, "Yes." He didn't say, "No, I'm checking street names," or "No, I'm looking for addresses." THAT story came out after the fact. As for Zimmerman stating that he was going to detain Martin? You're kidding...right? Who, no matter what they intended would have declared that just out of the blue? The NEN officer didn't ask that question, probably because he thought he was dealing with a rational person and didn't need to ask. But Zimmerman DID show his attitude with his statement of, "These assholes, they always get away," followed by his foot pursuit of Martin after he told the NEN officer, "He's running." In all honesty, Zimmerman probably didn't intend to try to detain Martin himself UNTIL he came face to face and within reaching distance of Martin at which point he decides to make sure Martin doesn't try to run again. And the one thing you keep wanting to avoid is the fact that the last words DeeDee heard before the connection broke was Martin yelling, "Get off. Get off." If he was busy punching Zimmerman's nose in an unprovoked attack at that point why would he have been yelling anything even remotely similar to that at that time? I CAN see a reason for those or similar words being yelled if someone (Zimmerman) was hanging on to his arm or sweatshirt at the time.
