LadyHibiscus -> What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 3:45:49 PM)

I just saw a guy on a tv show jump off a low cliff into the beautiful clear ocean.

I am terrified of jumping into water.

How about you?

Not at all afraid to have you do it.

Senility is a fear I have, my grandfather had it, not my father, (fathers side) and dont know but maybe my mother had some not her mother or her grandfather.......

spiders.....just no way, no how. even when dead. i know it's sometimes silly, but just no.

water. especially that that i can not see in. i have nightmares about it too. however, i can swim, and used to be a very strong swimmer, so i know i can potentially save myself. to that end i do sometimes push myself very hard to challenge my fear. chances are though that once i stop i'm going to cry. even crossing some of the bridges over the thames is a challange that i wouldn't do on my own. boats are almost a hard limit, but i did once push myself to try crossing the thames in one at richmond. due to a very high tide though we couldn't do it thankfully. once off of the pontoon it took a huge effort to not cry. i felt very embarressed with my playmate as we hadn't really talked about it, and i felt silly. now though he knows and helps me with it.

some men instantly strike a fear into me in a very bad way. i have to make sure i am not alone with them.

needles

afraid of heights, to the extent that i became practically paralyzed when my ex husband took me up on the roof of the building we worked in. i'm also afraid of water deeper than i can stand up in, you won't catch me on a boat. i'm afraid of flying but i learned that fear. my father's friend took us up in a single engine plane for a ride and thought it was funny to put it into a stall. he thought my mother's panic was funny. he died in that plane not long after when a student pilot crashed it.

I am afraid that I won't have the courage of my own convictions. I really don't want to be incapable of doing anything for myself, the thought of being unable to walk/talk/wipe my own arse etc etc scares me yet that old age shit creeps up on you. The way I feel now is that when that infirmity stuff gets too much I will ship myself off to dignitas and pull the plug, but will I be able to do that, and will I have the guts?

I need to make a will

Losing my health, ability to walk or see and becoming so sick and disabled I would not be able to take of myself.

And:

Clowns

JanahX -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 4:50:58 PM)

what is it with clowns???

sexyred1 -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 4:56:42 PM)

I don't really know. I think there is something evil behind the forced smile. I think most clowns are escaped lunatics waiting for the right moment to abduct women and torture them.

Delilya -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 5:02:24 PM)

Fire. It has chased me my whole life and I am afraid I will eventually die that way.

No, I think it has to do with the extreme makeup and evil grin. Did you ever see Stephen King's IT? There is a clown called Pennywise who would make grown men run away in terror.
