ConfidencePlays -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 5:33:01 PM)

I'm afraid that I may someday disappoint the people who love me, and count on me to take care of them. That they may someday regret the time they've spent with me and the love they've given me.

I'm also afraid of spiders, and bees. Heights are rather unpleasant too.

I just saw a guy on a tv show jump off a low cliff into the beautiful clear ocean.

I am terrified of jumping into water.

How about you?

I am absolutely not terrified of you jumping into water.

Clowns are evil! Especially *european* clowns. Though I do not fear them. I have enough genetic evil to stand against clowns.

It would depend on how low of a cliff, but I'd love to do something like that (and probably would), Hibbie.

Off a high cliff? Hmm, I'll meet you down on the beach, mmk?

Otherwise, losing my health would probably be up there for me, too.

I love clowns. I used to have a collection that at last counting was 258. They even hung from the ceiling in their room. Paintings, dolls, ceramics. When I downsized I split them up among the grandimps.

I *will* jump into water if I have to. And I have no fear of heights. It's the water closing over my head and crashing into my sinuses.

Deadly deadly bees!! Allergic. Eeeee!

Spiders? Crawlers? Call me, I'll hit em with a brick. Clowns too, why not.

Winterapple -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 8:03:25 PM)

I have an assortment of phobias.
Heights, snakes and bridges over
water being the big three.
I always think about Natalie Wood
whose big fears were drowning and
dark water. Gore Vidal said "What's
fearfully feared fearfully happens."
He was talking about Tennessee
Williams death by choking on a
medicine bottle cap.

Anyone whose afraid of clowns
does not want to see the evil
clown a friend once gave me
for Christmas. It's a wind up
clown. When you wind it the
clown beats a drum and twists
it's nasty head as creepy circus
music plays. Shudder.

Would a nose plug help? Or just use your fingers, perhaps?

Bees. I've never been stung. They usually don't bother me, though.

And me, too. Spiders I'm ok with, and clowns, too. Some crawlers I've met, though...

Dying in a house fire.  Don't know where it comes from, but that's about my only [serious] fear.

Then we have [less seriously] being bound and forced to listen to country western music.

I have a fear of-

Falling, clowns, bacteria, raccoons, rodents, bugs, basements and having my full face covered.

HouseOfDarkness -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 8:37:55 PM)

I truely have only one fear,, I will never find the one I am looking for. that's it truthfully,, I faced death in the service in Nam and stared it down,, funny how something as simple as being alone and unfulfilled can tower over all else

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/10/2012 8:43:12 PM)

I understand, House. I'm not *afraid* of that, just having trouble accepting it.
