Abbess -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/17/2012 5:34:50 PM)

Would you laugh if I said dinosaurs, especially dinosaur bones?

PrincessJessieJ -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/17/2012 5:44:15 PM)

...this is stupid but.. ants. Especially fire ants.

Abbess -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/17/2012 6:29:19 PM)

I don't know. I think Dinosaurs is worse than Ants. Ants can hurt you...and are actually alive.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/17/2012 6:33:39 PM)

Fire ants are skeery!!

The one thing that I am currently afraid of is quitting smoking. I am going to begin this on my birthday and it'll be after thirty years of actively smoking... Yeah, I am scared shitless.

I think I hold the title of the world’s greatest cigarette smoking quitter based on the number of times I quit. None of them lasting more than a few weeks, damn I was good at quitting. Then came the day I had the great fortune to see a 29-year-old cadaver, a two pack a day cigarette smokers lungs, arteries and kidneys.

That day, that moment in time I walked to the trash can and deposited my cigarettes and lighter in it, never again to pick up a cigarette but I soon found there was more to it the just the stopping of smoking. Other life style changes had to occur; I was a nervous wreck, irritable and angry most of the time. Smoking hash had to stop, snorting lines came to an abrupt end and marijuana became a thing of the past. Exercise and workouts increased dramatically but I still put on weight, my eating habits were modified so I was hungry all the time for about ninety days and I really wanted a drink.

I had quit drinking eight years earlier, oh I still drank wine with my meals, and did a shot of Jack with my brother on New Years and my dad and brother on the Marine Corps Birthday but other than that no booze at all.

Good luck with the challenge you are about to face, it will be hard but you can win that fight. If you ever just need someone who has been there to talk to, please, feel free to contact.

I am afraid of losing my mum before my dad....I am not really close to any of my parents for many reasons, but it would be much harder for me to remain in touch with him if he would be the last one standing than with her....as he is the main bully and mum is easier to handle without him...

I am not afraid of saying it so clearly as that was already topic years ago when we spoke about that we hoped that granny lives longer than grandpa, as it was always clear that granny would move to parents if she needs help, whereas with grandpa that would just not have been possible (dad and grandpa would have killed each other).

Since mum is undergoing her chemo its more in my head than before...[:(]

I am also afraid of cockroaches....in the UK I once briefly lived in a flat which was occupied from them....thankfully I realised that as long as I still had my other place and so moved out again straight away...

At a mental health care home in the UK they had also a problem with cockroaches and I hated my night shifts there because of them[:'(][:'(][:'(]

I am afraid of Spider but I am more afraid of being alone at the age of 44.

At age 44 I would be more afraid of living a lie and being unhappy than being alone.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/19/2012 12:35:06 PM)

I just hate the phone. Which is why I adore that my mobile shows me who is calling! Funny, when I am a chatty cathy in person/skype. That ringing telephone... eeeh. I just want to hit it with a hammer.

LadyPact -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/19/2012 12:36:49 PM)

Completely off topic. You kind of flipped Me out sending a text the other day. Would you mind if I kept your number?

LaTigresse -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/19/2012 12:39:59 PM)

Well damn, only about 8 people ever send me texts!

(edited cuz I thought of a few others...)

LadyPact -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/19/2012 12:40:56 PM)

That's because I don't have your number....

LadyPact -> RE: What Are You Afraid Of? (7/19/2012 12:43:49 PM)

However, it really is kind of cool.

Just sayin'.
