So far I've only had the need to block a few people on the other side.  Did not consider the possibility of blocking on this side...

I understand the temptation, though, to go and look at the train wreck.  Mostly, I'm happier when I don't, but if you must, you must...

I have only blocked one person on the other side, and none here.

When I had a profile up, I would block people all the time.  Only the jerks, the insulters, the ones who critisise what the profile said, the "on your knees, bitch types" etc etc.  I also used to get what I call 'repeat emailers'.  The same guys 6 months later that try to hit on your again, or forgot that you spoke to them and didnt have chemistry.  Then the ones who send the generic form letters---such a turn off---I used to block all of them because its just a hassle to deal with them over and over again.  They dont even remember who they emailed.  I do not currently have a profile up, so I do not get mail at all.
As far as blocking on the boards.  No one has caused me to do that.  I believe even the people that I do not like, provide something to learn from.  If you really think about it, we learn from everyone.  I dont necessarily mean that some jerk-off taught me something valueable.  But sometimes just telling off some  ass reminds me of what I stand for, or how strongly I feel about something.  Some peoples post I feel indifferent about or I feel they never say anything intellingent, so I will just pass it up on a thread.   I have no one blocked on the boards.  But Im willing to bet in the short time that Ive been posting, theres a shitload who have me blocked. Fuck em.

Hello A/all,

I used to play an internet game where my peurile maunderings caused somebody I considered a self-absorbed cretin to put me
on ignore.

He would announce almost daily that I was on ignore.

Then he would respond to what I was saying on public
channels.

You used the term "last" to view the last 20 lines of the
public channel, and he would frequently post "lsat" and "salt"
and the like.

But, I can do passive-aggressive really well, and I bided my time
and waited.  At one point I was the only person leading large
groups to kill big game on there, and he would ask me to take him
in my groups because nobody else would.

I have posted elsewhere that I dont ignore people because it
lowers my ability to ridicule them at some future date, plus, they
might actually say something that makes sense and I learn from it.

For me, ignoring somebody happens in my mind.

Just me, could be wrong.

Sinergy

Ok so after reading this thread I have come to the conclusion that  I'm weird. I have never blocked anyone...here...on the other side....or on any other site or IM program. Guess nobody really bothers me that much to waste the effort of blocking them. When someone says things online in a consistent manner that would cause me to put them in the clueless ass category, I just say "what an ass" and move on to the next. I even generally still read their stuff as it usually provides comic relief. Maybe I'm a mental masochist...do you think I might need therapy for this?....lol

Nope.... you're not weird at all; I operate pretty much in the same manner. I've got a gay dude who's changed his moniker at least eight times and still keeps writing me, even though I ignore it. I've never blocked a single person on this side and don't see it happening in the future.

I've blocked a few people who threated to find me, stalk me, whatever, and a few people who would e-mail me just to insult me.

UR, no one wants to kill you because you're not controversial enough in the forums.  I seem to piss people off daily.  If only they realized what I'm like in person...

ditto, although i  do fly under the radar on  IM venues.....i keep a short list of those who can see i'm online...but no one else can message or see me...just because i dislike being blindsided by drive by IM's

LaM....

I wouldn't sweat it.. I've always enjoyed your posts, your humor and your fairness.  I think anyone who is offended by you to a point in which they make threats of ''bodily harm'' against you, is thin-skinned and pretty much a ''weakling'' for a human being. And while I'm definitely here for the girls, If I was in the apple and wanted to watch Mussina or Johnson pitch, you'd be the first dude from here I'd call.

Let's watch Chien-ming Wang instead of Randy Johnson.  Right now he's the better pitcher.  Mussina has been outstanding though.

I don't get upset about the crap mail I get, but I do get a fair amount of it, and sometimes I have to block people.

Who in their right mind would threaten a guy who's avatar is two elephants humping?

I have blocked myself on the boards and on the email side. I keep posting things that really annoy me and I got tired of reading them. As far as the email goes, I blocked that but I keep making new screen names and keep sending myself stuff.

I am very confused.

I need a nap.

In fact I have hacked into my own account. It took me a while to crack my password but after that it was easy. I posed on here as a transexual with a marshmallow fetish for several weeks.
