So - in concluesion -  being honesty, having integrity and being truthful... those are all great.
Lying and dishonesty is not.

But being condescending, patronizing, nasty and twisting words to make a point that really isnt there - where do they fit into the grand scheme of things?  Are they lesser 'evils'?
Just a thought.

*leaves the stone in the middle of the forum for the next toss

Fast Reply:

Interesting… sskitten has sent me an off-line note to say she and her Dom are following this thread and for me to ‘stop it’.  While she apparently believes I’m making unfair derogatory remarks, I must say my “eye-rolling in agreement w/ the brat” was with enigmabrat; I was NOT calling sskitten names…as suggested in her e-mail to me.  Course, I was also not agreeing with her, either.  LOL    Anyway, I edited the post to make myself more clear.  Generally, I don't name-call.

Is this commonplace here; to go offline and continue with snide comments and accusations where the rest of the site cannot see?

I’d like to apologize to any readers that are left…for my several posts all at once.  I was reading and taking notes here at the store and was interrupted several many times over the course of a couple hours.  LOL   I had no idea I had THAT much to say!  Still, I wonder if it would have come across any ‘softer’ had my posts been more spread out?  Gee…they don’t SEEM: ‘condescending, patronizing, nasty and twisting words to make a point that really isnt there’ to me.

It’s a passionate topic…expect heat!

Just to whisper - your 'truth' is showing...[;)]

hehe you can come to the big wedding, Bearlee.. and I shall look radiant in my shining white gown!

bandit25 -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 3:51:11 PM)

It is a passionate subject, Bearlee.  I stopped posting several pages ago cuz I realized no one really cared what I said or thought...however, you certainly have the right to your opinions.  I really hate when someone else says that they aren't judgmental and then go on to judge the person's opinions.  Opinions are just that...opinions...no judgment necessary.

Kree -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 3:51:20 PM)

Yes, her truth is showing... and she's 100% correct.  She has not flamed, been patronizing, or all of the other garbage that has been said.  If someone feels the necessity to enter a forum and try to rally the troops behind their cheating and lies, they should expect some heat.  In conclusion, I'm sure you'll be back for the last word; as always.

Bearlee -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 3:52:58 PM)

Puella,

I believe I read congratulations are in order!  You and CrappyDom, is that true?  <sigh>  Good for you girl!

LMAO...should it happen for me, I won't be able to wear white.  I did the first time though and while it didn't last till death did us part; he and I were both honest and straight-forward with each other; neither took the other for a 'ride' and we are still friends.

Integrity rules!

Bearlee -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 3:56:35 PM)

bandit,

I care what you say and think...even if we don't agree.  Isn't that why we frequent the Forums?  You have made me think many times ...and I thank you for it.

Kree,

Thank you Sir.  I enjoy it here...it all certainly stimulates the mind, does it not?

And what is 'Nytewhispers'?  Poetry, perhaps?  If it's anything like your signature line...it must be powerful stuff!  Is it published?

Who wants to wear white these days?

puella -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 4:05:15 PM)

well.. yanno, he hasn't quite acclimented himself to the fate of own beautiful souls entwining, and all that.. but yanno.. the groom is the least of my worries as I plan this massive wedding hehe!  [;)]

Oh lordy!  I promise I won't hijack this one too!

sophia37 -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 4:07:34 PM)

The only place I disagree with Kitten is that she thinks cheating migt be worng. I for one have found instance where cheating may very well be the most right thing to do.

bandit25 -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 4:07:45 PM)

Actually, Bearlee, we do agree...at least on this one and, I think, on many other subjects.  My posts are often fairly short cuz those long ones...unless fairly well written, make my eyes glaze over.  Nah, I wasn't talking about you being judgmental Bearlee.  You were simply stating your opinions.  But, as so many have already pointed out, we judge every day.  Sometimes, our opinions sound judgmental even when they aren't.  But, I agree with you, if she didn't want conflicting or negative (to her way of thinking), then this wasn't the place to post.  Of course, she has the right...just as we have the right to comment on her post.
And thanks...you made my day!

Welcome to CM Kree - I see you have only just joined us today and decided to post - [;)]
You are quite correct in agreeing with me.  The truth is certainly showing.

Personal opinion - everyone makes a judgement and makes an assessment based on their own morality.  They use themselves as an example.
No more - no less.  But no 'sin' or 'truth' is any worse or better than another.  And to throw stones when ones own windows are cracked, is simply showing the real truth.  Everyone has the right to an opinion.  And everyone is wrong to someone.  Debate is like that.

Right between arrogance and insecurity.

Bearlee -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 6:54:19 PM)

LOL... I don't really know how you meant that, julia...but I do think puella meant that somewhat ironically... is that the word I want?  <sigh>  I'm not sure...but I think it was kinda tongue-in-cheek...yanno?  Kinda, sorta, in-a-way?  Damn...what IS that word???

I wouldn't condemn a person for keeping their marriage intact and having *another life* also.

I wouldn't care to judge someone on the whys and wherefores of their choices. Relationships are SO complicated and the reasons for people being unhappy/unfaithful in them, are too. It's too easy to say *come clean*. It iSN'T always the *good, kind and noble* thing to do. It's a personal moral dilemma.

I certainly don't see that my personal moral code should be applied to anyone other than me.

When I stop being an imperfect person and always make the correct choices and decisons for all concerned and for myself, maybe I'll be in a position to judge other people.

Thank you very much agirl for having the clear and understandable words, i had not. This is what i tried to say. I got sidetracked by religous things, but the core was that.

GddssBella -> RE: two worlds of trust (6/13/2006 9:51:49 PM)

G'evening all:

Sheesh, spend a couple of days with my boyfriend/subbie and see what I missed?

Pardon me BBRN, but you think just because you have a child that justifies you breaking whatever vows you took? Sorry, not buying that load. My mother was a working single mom. Separated when I was 2, divorced when I was 10. Made life difficult but at least she kept her integrity intact. Fine example you're setting for your offspring.

As to everyone else trying to pat themselves on the back for admitting their lives and outlooks changed? Fine, bully for you. What you needed to do was admit this to your significant other before you cheated, not after. Fat lot of good it does after the fact.

Who the hell knows, maybe I'm just getting old and betrayal is becoming the new black...

Umm, nope. I won't "walk in those shoes." I have something that prevents me from walking in those shoes. It's called integrity and honesty. It's what gives me the right to sit proudly on my high horse. I also refuse to walk in the shoes of pedophiles, and will gladly judge them from my high horse. I won't walk in the shoes of murderers either. I also won't walk in the shoes of rapists, Klan members, or the playground bully. I won't walk in the shoes of child abusers. I won't walk in the shoes of cheating spouses. Those are shoes that I am perfectly content not walking in. Anyone who tells me I need to walk in those shoes, is telling me I need to let go of my morals.I'll take my high horse over your immoral shoes any day. Thanks anyway.
*quiet applause*

I finally slogged my way through all the pages. Crap. My eyeballs hurt now. Thanks. [sm=tongue.gif]  In closing, I'll say this; a chat buddy made a statement years ago that sums up the entirety of bdsm pretty succinctly. "We're all broken toys." It took me a few moments to figure that out. Reading these forums just reinforces that outlook. *chuckling*

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

Everybody lies.  To the boss, spouse, parents...  Just not everyone admits it or even wants to admit it to themselves - which in itself is a lie.
So by that - no one is trustworthy.  Lies are lies - no lie is worse than another - just different.

Remind me never to enter partnership with dark… [Bearlee]
