I've noticed a lot of cat related shenanigans
on this forum... are there no kinky dog people?

Which one is your favourite?

I like cats ... lightly sautéed with a creamy butter sauce. They're terrific!

I like both, but my work schedule is such that having a dog is not in the cards (besides, the Cats won't let me....)

Both...but own neither at the moment.

Difference between a cat and a dog

Dog: These people feed me, shelter me and love me … they must be gods.

Cat: These people feed me, shelter me and love me… I must be a god.

I like both. My Dakota kitty passed last year at the age of 15. Due to my age, I will not be adopting another kitty.

This is my doggie Horatio. He is 7 and not only does he love to chase bubbles, but sun shines out his ass. Honest.

This, except himself doesn't want a dog, therefore, we have no dog.

I guess I am the purist here???.. kitties only for me.. But due to my lifestyle I dont have any kitties right now.. I had 2, one lived to 16 years, the other lived to 17 years.. Squeek was my little buddy..

I dont mind dogs.. much.. we had a dog on the farm who was very loyal and smart, for a dog.. but.. I am not fond of doggie smell.. and the higher care requirement they need.. kitties take care of themselves much of the time, especially if you have 2 of them so they can play with each other.. Kitties are fuzzy balls of cuteness and cuddly and give little kitty kisses and are fun to watch when they are silly..

Thank you. I am rather partial to him. Smiles.

Up until 2 years ago I ran a home for animals waiting for adoption. I've had all kinds of animals in my home. Everything from 2 week old kittens to dogs, birds, snakes, rodents (Not my favorite) and even a pregnant chinchilla. Horatio was always very accepting of them and even "bathed" the little kittens.

I too chose trapped in a cats body. Not only am I the great Earth Mother Goddess, but I am a Lioness. <giggles>

In spite of my avatar, I am a dog person. More because of allergies than anything else-lol.

Here is Charlie, my abused doggie!

I love animals, but I am a cat person, given that dualistic choice.

Actually I am a GUINEA PIG person. And a crazy parrot lady.

No more pets, though. Some folks can get past their deaths, I cannot. I hope Jed and I are together the rest of our lives, but there will be no more animal companions.

Me also. But I do enjoy dogs more than cats. Cats are too aloof and boring to me. I prefer the more interactive nature of dogs. Half the time I even forget I have a cat around.

Oh yeah, when the kids were growing up, we had everything and I do mean everything -- dogs, cats, fish, ferrets, snakes, lizards, my son even kept a crawdad he found on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Now that's something, deciding what the crawdad likes to eat !!

With all those pets, we of course had to have the proper food: crickets, rodents, you name it.

Those were the days !! And you know, everything got along with everything else. The only thing I wasn't about to try was a bird, not b/c we don't like them but b/c I didn't think it had much chance of longevity.

I had a parrot once, it ran the cat off. The first cat/parrot encounter was a bit unplanned and tense, for a few moments. Then the cat got a serious attitude adjustment from the parrot. Scared the shit out of that cat. She snuck outside and we never saw her again.

LOL - love that visual. My cats and dogs pretty much leave my parrots alone - because they WANT to..................... yeah , thats the ticket, they want to leave them alone, not because the bird may remove a tail or something....

My Jed LOVES cats, and cats love him. He's not a mean bird, but cats seem to know that the BEAK is a great equalizer, and they approach him as another interesting thing to look at, and vice-versa.
