I simply like animals. I have three dogs, two are rescues. And three cats. Two are rescues. One of my cats I think thinks he's a dog. He spends more time lying with the dogs than he does playing with the other cats. I have had any number of birds, both tame and wild. Also have had a fair number of hamsters and snakes come through my house. Fish don't seem to do so well here for some reason. *shrugs*

Cat person. Dogs are annoying and they smell. I don't understand how people can be "both".

I'm allergic to cats. I hate going to my sister's house because of it. I always end up with a stuffy nose and itchy, red, watery eyes by the next day (and I hate taking Benadryl).

I love both. After a bad young adult experience with a wicked cat, I never imagined I'd ever like cats. Then I cat sat for a friend and after watching him for a few days I was shocked when I realized that I had a lot in common with cats and that I had some cat traits of my own. This caused cognitive dissonance, but after I surrendered and accepted that one bad cat doesn't have to spoil the herd, I went out and got my own cat. He was incredibly cool.

JAS, I know what you mean, but he looks like he's the most spoiled dog in the pic you posted.

I too like both canine and feline, have had both, but like Greedy, my schedule lends itself to having cats over dogs. I have *gulp* 5 of the little buggers, ranging from just over a year old to 14 years old. They keep each other company and and conspire to drive me nuts. For the record, I was crazy before I had 5 kittehs.

They keep me sane, listen to me bitch and moan, comfort me when I'm not feeling good, and contrary to popular belief, really do show affection for me. (Or maybe it's the opposable thumbs and body heat.....nah, they love me!)

As far as dogs are concerned, give me a big dog over a little one....I grew up with Saint Bernards, worked with K-9's in the military and have no fear of large dogs. Now the little ankle biters and mops....I don't turn my back on them.....noisy little yappers! Our family doesn't have a lot of respect for them.

I like cats if they're friendly n lovebugs, but I have no desire to have them as my pet.

I'm a cat person! I only have one kitty at the moment because she won't let me have anymore.
