Being a presence in board discussions is invaluable. Having a realistic pic next to your many cogent and empathetic posts will do more for you than a thousand pitch-emails. It takes time and effort to accrue the benefits of the good will, but women will def. notice you. And all that clarifying of your thoughts and impulses in this delicious mess won't hurt you either.

One big thing anyone messaging almost any woman on this site needs to come to terms with is that there is no way to separate themselves from the rest of the messages in the inbox.

You can write the most magnificent opening message that has ever existed, it could bring the girl to tears of happiness and simultaneously give her an explosive orgasm just from reading it. It could just be that good.

The problem? She could have 100+ mails from people that day alone... and she might just be absolutely sick of it, select them all, and delete. Resulting in your magnum opus of opening messages being deleted unread.

Include a pic or have on in your profile? Big deal, there's probably 20 cock shots surrounding your artistically wonderful and tasteful picture.

It may hurt if you are thinking about it from only your own point of view... and yes it sucks to take all the time to read and take in a profile and write a great deal of relevant and well spoken dialog to kick things off, only to have it all ignored.... But that's just how it works, not just here, but on pretty much any site where the goal is to get people talking to each other.

No matter how much drivel I get in my inbox, I never ignore a well written email. However, my standards of "well written" are quite high.

The problem is that there is no way to really distinguish those from the others in just the inbox. You have to either click on them in the first place, or hover over them and hope the brief preview is enough to set it apart.

A message line count would be kind of nice actually. It would still get abused of course. But having a filter option of "bulk mail all messages with less than x # of words" would be useful. It would just need to ignore messages that are part of an active conversation.

Thank you to the further contributors to this thread. Sounds as if I am not doing anything wrong as such, perhaps being a little impatient. And there will never be any cock shots on my profile, I promise you all that!! Thanks again.
