I agree that it's tasty and one reason the chicken sandwich
is lower in calories than a lot of other fast food
chicken sandwiches is it's served plain with a
pickle no mayo or sauce or cheese and it isn't
deep fried which cuts calories and fat.
The sodium is a little high. As far as eating
fast food goes it's not a bad choice.
And health wise a healthy person can eat
fast food in moderation.
I doubt the boycotting is going to put them
out of business anymore than conservative
boycotts have put their targets out of
business. But knowing some of the
organizations they give money to and
support makes me not want to shell
out any money to them.
I don't like being overly pious about things
like fast food but increasingly for me
the negatives are greater than the positives
which at this point are pretty much
convenience and some degree of tastiness.

I don't think those stats are half bad for a meal. It's certainly a better choice as far as fast food sandwiches go.

12g sugar
31g protein
911 mg sodium

I have to admit, that you are right. If we boycotted everything we disagreed with, we probably wouldn't be able to eat anything.

However, this particular company really rubs me the wrong way. It does not operate like typical fast food franchises. The main company in fact owns all of the locations everywhere. So this approach they have in their corporate statement of "to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us" applies to every location, and just plain irritates me. So where does it glorify God to sell an unhealthy sandwich to people? Even McDonalds doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is. It's ridiculous to treat a fast food company as some sort of steward of faith. And from a health perspective, part of the issue is that people who regularly eat Chick fil A, often don't usually stop at one sandwich. There is a young woman on the Internet saying she ate one every day for breakfast. These are not healthy eating habits. Just saying....

I know it has all been mentioned before but I am just adding my opinion to the discussion.

I am conflicted…I do not like people that wear their religion on their sleeves and spout their opinions on political issues based on their religious beliefs. But…I cannot see punishing the employees of Chick-fil-a by boycotting the establishment.

In fact I will not boycott because the pain will be passed down to employees that are just trying to make a living.

But I certainly will be sure I don’t increase my business with them and would feel good about petitioning my local government NOT to allow the franchise to expand in my area.

I just gotta say that I am so over this Chik fil a thing, I could scream. I have literally taken folks off my Facebook page, because they keep posting shit, for one side or the other.

If you disagree with him, and want to boycott to show your disapproval, have at it. If you disagree and love the fucking food there, go eat there. If you agree, go eat there. If you don't give a flying fuck, don't or do eat there.

He has the right to donate to whatever cause he wants to.

Everyone has the right to not give him their money, if they disagree.

I did see half of one of our lesbian couples today, who has a most adorable son that attends our school. We got to talking about it, and she said she would still be going to our school nights at Chik Fil A, because she does not want to tread on his right to believe what he wants to, any more than she wants to have him tread on hers, and any power he might have over her, is only there, if she gives it to him.

So, we gonna go to Chik Fil A nights, have great salads and the best fucking milkshakes in town, take the money they give to our school, and go on living, none the worse for wear.

Carry on, I feel better now.

Exactly. I really don't give a crap what he believes. He is free to do so. But, when he tries to force his religious beliefs onto the rights of others using money that came from me, I have an issue.
