SubTrucker85 -> Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 11:51:01 AM)

I am a bit frustrated with the way the search is set up.
There is no option to eliminate Pro Dommes from the search results.
Now, I'm not going on a rant about anything other than making it its own category so persons seeking a Domme for a relationship can focus on what I'll refer to as "Lifestyle Dommes" for lack of a better term.
It would just help narrow the search for people who are seeking either one.

GreedyTop -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 11:53:01 AM)

use the search function. your rant is a FAIL. it's been done countless times before yours. Search, young jedi wannabe, and you will find why this is a no go.

SadisticMs2 -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 11:55:33 AM)

You're talking about a site that doesn't even allow you to put a marital/dating status.

It's not hard to spot the pros if you look closely enough.

i understand your point, and it would be nice. but i think it's problematic to have people identify themselves (via multiple choice drop down lists) as professionals. also, from what i've observed, the Pro's make it pretty clear that they are doing this for a living.

That is true, there is no marital/dating status either...

Right I understand that most make it clear. All Im asking is let me choose to drop all the Pro's off my search because that is not what I am looking for.

I do use the search function and want the option added to the search function

GreedyTop -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 12:12:41 PM)

I repeat... use the search function and you will discover why that "preference" you have is not practical.

ETA: I do NOT mean the search function on the personals side (forgive if I was unclear in previous POSTS about that),, I meant use the search function HERE. yanno.. on the message boards side.

Rule -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 12:15:24 PM)

Your domme likely lives within a three block radius from you. Get out from behind that computer and go play ball on the street, or walk a dog.

Well, then, perhaps you should create your own website rather than bitching about a FREE site and dictating how they should run their site.

PS to OP - please don't be cowed by detractors, you're obviously trying to make helpful suggestions, not dictating anything. it's nice to see a new face participating on the board side :)

OsideGirl -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 12:56:35 PM)

Making a suggestion would be contacting management or an admin and saying "I have an idea". Not posting it to a public forum, where the mods are not even the same as the other side.

Tragic. There isn't any free pie either. What's the world coming to?

There are plenty of pros who are also "lifestyle" doms. Where do they fit into your plan?

Sorry to break it to you, but there is no dom drive thru. You actually have to put in some work to find your dream dom.

Good luck!

You could try reading profiles, then eliminate them yourself instead of wanting a free site to do the work for you

i've lost count of how many threads have been used to suggest new things or improvements. the only time they're disparaged is when the OP is newish and regulars decide they need to feel superior.

and to use your own reasoning, if he wished to "dictate" anything to the mods, then he certainly would contact them, and not merely post it as a suggestion.

Use the hide button each time one comes up. They will never come up in your search again. Problem solved. That will be $5, please.

Whenready -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 2:02:34 PM)

"These are not the dommes you are looking for...." (Sorry, it was "young jedi" set me off.... I blame GreedyTop... it couldn't possibly be my fault.....could it?)

More seriously however, if you search for "lifestyle" or "not pro" that will narrow your search. Whether those ladies are telling the truth or not... I'm afraid I can't comment... except that I was amused by the lady who repeated that she is not pro and only requires a very small tribute.....

MissImmortalPain -> RE: Pro Domme Identifier (8/14/2012 2:12:15 PM)

~yawn~

The reason this "suggestion" will never work is because if a pro doesn't want you to know she is a pro she won't tell the web site either. She won't get listed at a pro so she won't get taken out of a search. And even if it could be done what would you then do about the ladies that are both pro and lifestyle dommes (no one ever answers this questions for me)

There ya go again, trying to tell someone else what they're thinking or feeling.
