I don't see what the concern is with a guy buying tampons. When I've gone to get em in the past, it's not like the shopkeeper thinks they're for me. "Ok, he has a woman at home that can't get to the store for some reason or other." No big fuckin deal. I've even had women in the past who were home sick as a dog and hesitant to ask me to pick em up. I'm like "What the fuck honey, You cant get out of the house and I dont want you bleeding all over the damn place. Just tell me the damn brand and size and I'll get em." ETA, I guess theres actually 2 guys in the country that have no prob buying Tampons.[&:]

I never saw the issue with it, myself. That's why humiliation play is so personal.

As for myself, I like to get things that I need, so the enterprise is more about procurement, even at Lowe's or a sporting goods store. I did go through a phase of oggling HD TVs when they came out. I ended up buying a 32" Sharp TV online that was refurbished. I'm glad not to be addicted to shopping, b/c it could be an affliction of envy and material neediness. I do like the image of you in Lowe's, though, that is cool. I do have some actual experience with public humiliation, it's so mortifying and scarey that I can say I don't like it or seek it out. In the abstract, its kind of sexy. In a way its a form of degradation, and I've never been into that.

Yes, I am 'purchase' rahter than 'shop', it's unusual for me to just go out and look at things these days. It's sooo hard to not go down those other aisles of dremel parts and storage devices...

My ex D wouldn't even borrow my MP3 player because it is pink (a wise color choice on my part.) NO WAY would I have asked him to pick up tampons. In our 18 years of marriage, I'm sure my ex-husband did, however. I think M has too.

There is pretty much nothing about shopping that I like, and the thought of browsing is just anathema to me. Crowds, queues, parting with money - DO NOT WANT. I become a walking Scottish stereotype. Maybe I should make Psycho do all my shopping :ponders:
