ORIGINAL: ResidentSadist . . . I didn't think I could remember or follow the 15 rules and demands she made about contacting her. Jebus . . . I want this, I want that, I want the other thing and if your are handsome, rich and just like Mr Gray, I will grace you with access to my 3 holes. Someone call the press, another horny housewife thinks she's a sub. There are some really cute 50 Shades of Grey fans flooding the site lately but Holy Shit Batman, the demanding submissives that think just having 3 holes to use is some blessing, not a requirement, are starting to become a majority. I seriously got to stop visiting the other side on the way into the forums. Have you noticed an influx of Doms & submissives with strange attitudes lately and suspect they are a result of the 50 Shades books? lol, thanks, i enjoyed your post and style of writing! what you mention seems common to me. i.e., people seem to post what someone else calls "strange", or fake, or whatever it is that doesn't match WIITWD from their own POV. it may or may not be strange, not my call. conversely, being somewhat new to this board, i definitely have seen what appears to be an elitist attitude from some, but that's to be expected (from the more insecure in the group) from any cultural subgroup that has it's own lexicon and way of being. to your point, i agree that it's probable that 50 shades of gray generated a lot more interest in BDSM, and that many "less experienced" people have added another twist to the evolution. to me, each new POV is currency and has value, even if i personally think it's wrong or stupid. for the record, i hadn't even heard of the book until i became involved in this board. i kinda laugh at what reportedly is being passed off as BDSM. i say reportedly, cus i don't care to read the book or investigate further - the book and any social phenominon it's just that unimportant to me, at least at this point.
