I wouldn't say this is common. My appetite for food is not as strong as my appetite for sex, and the two have never really overlapped (except for the occasions when it lasted long enough to merit overlapping).

My girl would take the time to eat, and I'd eat with her, so it wouldn't be an issue.

Have you ever looked into why you don't eat? Is it metabolism? I'd ask if you smoke since that does suppress appetite, but your profile indicated you don't.

No, not normally, and unless you are actually starving to death I wouldn't worry too much about it - sex stimulates the vagus nerve, which is also tied into the digestive system, Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) therapy is a legitimate therapy for depression and overeating, as stimulation of the vagus nerve can give you that feeling of "fullness", i.e., it's the same neural system that tells you you've had enough to eat.

If anything it might indicate depression, which is known to reduce the appetite, and sex of course is an antidote to depression, so unless you think it's risking your health, by all means keep "self medicating", sex, with the proper and reasonable precautions, has far fewer side effects than most anti-depressants.

If nothing else, you can always suck a protein shake out of a turkey baster.

But no..., after sex, I'm usually hungry. I can wait to eat and have sex first. But eventually there has to be food.

You get that rush of endorphins and a little adrenaline going and your body is able to ignore a hell of a lot.
I wouldn't go several days without eating simply because I don't operate that way, but a full day? Or even a day plus some of the next? Sure, I've done that before.

I'm more likely to need a drink of water before I get something to eat in those cases. But eventually things will calm down to a point where I realize I'm damned hungry and oh shit I only had that bowl of cereal like 30 hours ago.

If it isn't caused by ongoing attraction, the extremely rapid breakdown of the chemical will cause its effects to be shortlived. In a person not taking a drug known as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, the duration is going to be somewhere between five minutes and a couple of hours. Sticking a methyl group on the molecule causes it to last longer, at which point we call it amphetamine.

Quite apart from that simplified account, it doesn't really matter. Brain chemicals aren't like ingredients. We can't say "oh, it's cause your brain has too much/little of X", any more than we can say "this music has too little trombone in it". If you keep an eye on your food intake, make yourself get enough nutrition, then all is well.

Listen here young lady, the fact that you're clearly a randy little stoat doesn't absolve you of the responsibility to eat properly.

If you find yourself missing multiple meals as a consequence of your uncontrolled libido then you need to take steps to ensure your body (it being the only one you have after all) gets the nourishment it needs.

Well.. perhaps not ignore... but I reserve the right to make final judgement about what is needful. I don't treat signals like pain or hunger to be things which require immediate servicing.

I'm not focused enough on sex for sex to block food for more than a day or so. But work? Oh hell yeah.

I am coming from a clinical perspective and only using the original posters input. In My opinion, having sex for days on end and not eating sounds like a manic episode. Now, of course I don't know you nor am I trying to diagnosis you via your statements on one email. But, lack of eating, tons of energy, prolonged sexual activity (with one or multiple partners) can all be signs of a manic episode.
