Yup. Look who's finally catching on. Instead of *assuming* my positions, trying first reading what they are. I don't have the same reaction to wealth common here and elsewhere. And definitely not on international trade. Nor am I anti-business. Romney's problem for me isn't his wealth. And I'm been repeating that problem for me for months. He's Bush on Steroids, and doubling down on what brought us here is far worse than Bush Lite. Do I think Romney is out of touch? I do, and his campaign seems to lack any strategy because of this. But that's his problem. Do I think he'd have done better to just turn over the damn returns? That's probably true, unless Reid is right, but that's not an issue for me, as it's unknown. Do I think being a successful business man is sufficient criterion for being President? I don't--I had this problem with Ross Perot as well. Government isn't like business, and for good reason. There is also the issue of *how* Romney became successful, which concerns me as his only approach to understanding business--you can't cut your way to growth. It works for a quarter or two, and then what? It's activity that glosses over structural changes that need addressing. That was Bush's problem with relying on monetary policy to gloss over fiscal fissures. But I don't give a flying fuck about the Bain crap. You've just got nothing substantial to argue, so you look for things to attack. But first, make sure what you're attacking actually exists.
