I do not have a penis. It's been a long time since I got to borrow one. But no, I do not wish I were Norwegian. I am content to be the ethnicity that I am. This is not to imply that I have some kind of hate going on for Norway, or Scandinavia generally. Except for lutefisk. JUST SAY NO TO LUTEFISK.

I don't think they should circumcise babys unless theres a medical condition which would be corrected by circumcision. (and there are a few) In my opinion, Besides medical need, circumcision is an abomination, it's dam near child abuse... As far as a celebration of faith... Come on. Performing a ritual where you torture and and perform unnecessary surgery on a child is tantamount to a satanic rite. But doing it on a kids 8th birthday is a whole lot better in my opinion than doing it to a unsuspecting, defenceless baby. Whatever the case may be, people do it and I don't think it has any effect on all the stuff your talking about Rule... Your Foreskin Philosophy is just plain nonsensical and weird and it's not just this, every thing you write about is exactly the same... I am of the mindset that trauma, surgical or otherwise, done intentionally or otherwise, especially to the sexual organs, has many profound and unforseen consequences upon the mind, body, spirit and soul. All body cells have memory, so that even if we are pre-verbal and cannot consciously remember an event, our bodies will. And whether those memories remains suppressed or expressed, they will forever alter the being who sustained them. One must consider when such violence is done to a sexual organ, it may cause a shut down of parts of a person, or perhaps even exacerbate other aspects of them. At the very least, they will not be whole. Ask anyone who has been brutalized, attacked, raped, etc. You are NEVER the same. I have often wondered if there may be a connection between violence to the penis, in the form of circumcision, and the violence of rape some men do to mainly women (and men, as well). Of course, they may not always express such unconscious, unexpressed, unrecognized trauma/rage in the sexually violent realm, but may also on the mental, emotional, social, religious, political, medical, educational, military, etc. planes. And while it is off-track, I must say I am gravely disappointed in the behavior of some on this site. I do not say anyone here corners the market on truth or wisdom. I do not say you should agree with anyone elses post or views. I do not say do not post your counterview against those with whom you disagree. However, I do say it reflects very poorly upon the judgment, honor and integrity of those who berate or name call. By all means, say you disagree and feel free to counter with your own argument and proof. Why not leave it at that? Why the efforts to bully and denigrate another? I don't get it, folks. You needn't like what another says, but you needn't be mean, either. That is very bad form. If you do not like the message, there is no need to shoot the messenger. If you cannot like or agree with the message, why not consider the intent of the messenger. It might be more good than you think.

Greetings I am a Norwegian and unless you count the times me and Aswad roll in bed my body is completely dickless as I am a woman. :P I am against circumcision on children unless there is a medical need. I am very concerned about religious freedom, and while I think it is good that parents include their children in their religious practices, I know that if I had a child I would teach him or her about Paganism, but I do not think a parent have the right to force a child into their religion and I do not think a parent have the right to do permanent changes to a child's body in the name of religion. If a person want to get circumcised when they are adult that is fine by me, that is their choice and I am not even getting into here whatever or not it is healthy form men to be circumcised, my opinion is that unneeded surgery should not happen to a child in the name of the parent's faith as the child might not want to go down that path when they are adult. Now I think it is even worse in other nations where it is permitted to circumcise boys at home, without a doctor present and without painkillers. Some say that infants can not feel pain but this have proven to be incorrect, and infant feel just as much pain as an adult and traumas suffered as children can come back as psychological problems later, at least if one is going to circumcise a child do it at a hospital. Having your child circumcised in the hospital doesn't neccisarily make a difference. When I worked on the maternity unit as an RN, infants were routinely circumcised on day two or three. They were strapped, spread eagle, on a stiff unpadded board, stark naked, and circumcised. NO ANESTHETIC!!!!! More frequently this is being done at a few weeks of age, in the outpatient department, where I also spent four years very recently. The treatment of the infant was the same. As an operating room nurse for nine years, I saw cases of infants, who were circumcised in the doctors office, brought into the operating room that same day for a revision by a plastic surgeon because the GP did such a poor job, and completely failed at dealing with bleeding My 14 year old is uncut. That is a decision my spouse and I made before he was born. He will be educated about the pros and cons, and will make his own decision when/if he decides to. I personally prefer a cut dick in my mouth, as I find the foreskin floppy and yucky. Just me. Now, as for the question....do I want to be Norweigen? HELL NO!!!!! I have problems staying warm in Alberta, Canada. I sure as hell wouldn't go someplace colder. But I do love listening to the talk, both in their native tongue and in english with their accent.
