ORIGINAL: Rule [sm=goodpost.gif] quote:
ORIGINAL: Duskypearls I am of the mindset that trauma, surgical or otherwise, done intentionally or otherwise, especially to the sexual organs, has many profound and unforseen consequences upon the mind, body, spirit and soul. All body cells have memory, so that even if we are pre-verbal and cannot consciously remember an event, our bodies will. And whether those memories remains suppressed or expressed, they will forever alter the being who sustained them. One must consider when such violence is done to a sexual organ, it may cause a shut down of parts of a person, or perhaps even exacerbate other aspects of them. At the very least, they will not be whole. Ask anyone who has been brutalized, attacked, raped, etc. You are NEVER the same. I agree with all of the above. Yet my objection to circumcision is motivated by consequences very much worse than the above. quote:
ORIGINAL: Duskypearls I have often wondered if there may be a connection between violence to the penis, in the form of circumcision, and the violence of rape some men do to mainly women (and men, as well). Of course, they may not always express such unconscious, unexpressed, unrecognized trauma/rage in the sexually violent realm, but may also on the mental, emotional, social, religious, political, medical, educational, military, etc. planes. Indeed there is such a connection, but it is a devious, complex one. Nor does one have to be circumcised to be afflicted by it: the chance of being afflicted by it is a function of being a member of a circumcising population and - exponentially - of how prevalent the practice of circumcision has been in that population and on the number of generations that it has been practised. quote:
ORIGINAL: Duskypearls And while it is off-track, I must say I am gravely disappointed in the behavior of some on this site. I do not say anyone here corners the market on truth or wisdom. I do not say you should agree with anyone elses post or views. I do not say do not post your counterview against those with whom you disagree. However, I do say it reflects very poorly upon the judgment, honor and integrity of those who berate or name call. By all means, say you disagree and feel free to counter with your own argument and proof. Why not leave it at that? Why the efforts to bully and denigrate another? I don't get it, folks. You needn't like what another says, but you needn't be mean, either. That is very bad form. If you do not like the message, there is no need to shoot the messenger. You have class, Duskypearls. I lift my hat to you. [sm=applause.gif] However, such as berate me - surely in many respects more human and excellent people than myself - to me are like gnats trying to suck blood from the Flying Spaghetti Monster From Outer Space: insignificant. I am truth and my truths are beyond their cognition and comprehension. quote:
ORIGINAL: Duskypearls If you cannot like or agree with the message, why not consider the intent of the messenger. It might be more good than you think. Indeed: I am trying to save whole populations and our species itself. So now on-track again: Do you want to be a Norwegian? Rule, would you be good enought to speak, in more depth, to that which I've bolded? I understand, on a cerebral/cellular level much is generationally passed on in DNA, including though patterns, chemical balances/imbalances, behaviors, traumas, belief systems, traditions, etc., and would like details of your take on it. We are such a warring, whoring culture it astounds, frightens and fascinates me. At this very moment, I am deeply embroiled in a veritable life and death struggle against such DNA programming I inherited from my mother, a woman I really never new, yet I know I have been programmed by her and those that preceeded her (moreso than my father's side). It is so very odd, and may be hard for others to understand, but I can actually feel it trying to derail and destroy me. Whether I will be stronger than the imprinting and victor in the end, remains to be seen. I understand the hypnotic power of indoctrination that collective society and institutions have upon its individuals, discouraging them from thinking/acting outside the proverbial, presently accepted box. I understand the reluctant nature of most humans to comfortably embrace concepts and practices that differ from their own, especially if not yet presently understood, accepted or prescribed by the masses or powers that be. I understand the mental/emotional conflict and threat it poses to even consider going against the the grain of the status quo. I understand pack mentality, and its reactions to threats, real or perceived. I understand that many beliefs and practices, medical and otherwise, once highly touted and thought to be for the highest good of mankind/life in general, are actually, in fact, not that at all, when looked at more deeply. I understand most of what I have been taught is false, and much of that which I previously, blinded accepted, must be reconsidered.
