it's just as easy to look up someone's home number and address using their first and last names as it is to look up their address using their home number.

if you don't want to give him your number, don't give it to him. personally, i think that since he trusted you enough to give you enough information to verify who he is, then it's not unreasonable for him to ask the same of you. however, if your gut is telling you not to give it to him, then don't give it to him. but unless he's withheld information and acted suspicious, i wouldn't expect sympathy from him...i mean, the pushiness would make me uncomfortable, so i'd be more likely to trust and feel comfortable with someone who's not pushy, but it sounds like he's entitled to a negative reaction. his seems a bit suspicious and over the top, but this is the internet.

i only have a mobile phone now, but i've always been free with my personal info, now and in the past, because it's so easy to find (especially for me) that it's ridiculous to hide it.
