Again, where was the *shock* when Obama claimed he would end global warming, and lower sea levels?

Preciesly when and where did Obama promise to "end global warming, and lower sea levels?"

The fact that you see fear only shows that you cant see.

LMAO you mean to say that Bush didnt lie, Mccain didnt lie, Palin didnt lie???? time to take responsibility for your own party as the dems ARENT MY party as you are so fond of telling me....

what he actually said was
The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment - this was the time - when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals. Thank you, God Bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America.
yeah, hope and belief doesnt make him a liar ....

I dont seem to remember you being in favour of any of his so called "claims" especially the energy/solar/wind/alternative energy actions, let alone jobs /medical care, or standing together to remake your nation from the" skiddy sliding towards clusterfuck status" thing it was into anything better for anyone except the rich.
and neither has anyone else on the right done anything but obstruct and decry and lie.

Its not that lies only matter now to "MY side", its that yours hasnt STOPPED. and RYans were verifiable lies
get a bloody grip

Nope I never said that, but then again I'm not the one who is *shocked* by what Ryan said. You are right though, Obama and his democrats are sending this country into clusterfuck status... But don't worry, the skid ends in November, and maybe you can concentrate on Canadian or British politics.

mnottertail -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 1:41:36 PM)

So you see the house going democratic as well then?

Lucylastic -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 1:41:52 PM)

LMAO it was a pun for the ""electrifying" quote..
zaaaaaaaaap
Im not shocked he lied....
and if you cant read, let me spell it out..it was a skiddy sliding towards clusterfuck status that bush left you in... and what was the real story at the end of his term
8 million suddenly unemployed in how many months?, a dive in gas prices to make the repubs look good, McCain couldnt save the GOP because he didnt want it.
and november will see Obama take on his second term, because your chaps dont want it AGAIN, because they know they cant handle anything but fighting women and the poor.
BTW... Im not going to shy away from US politics, no matter who wins...so sorry..

So, now you are providing actual proof that he did NOT say that.  Now what  else do we want to talk about you being wrong about today?

He made no such promise in the provided clip or anywhere else.

He said that this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and the planet began to heal. Care for the sick and jobs for the jobless.

Elect Obama.

Yes He can. [8|]

The audience at a national political conference knows that the cameras are on it. It realises that its job is to look 'electrified' at whatever is said by the leaders.

Interesting.

The sorts that Stalin would have called, "useful idiots," have been given their talking points, and told what to believe and spread, Rob, and spread it does.  The official word on the speech is that Ryan lied, and the feet shall be stomped in unison about it.  "Republicans baa-aaad!"  It's all about the semantics of Janesville now, because they sure as hell don't want to talk his playlist going AC/DC to Zeppelin.

Paul Ryan knocked it out of the park last night.  I want to see what unfolds now.

Mitt will speak in a bit, and the leaked advance copies of his text are already being analyzed by the DNC operatives, and the emails are sitting in the drafts ready to go.  I will be sad, if every commentator who chimes in to say critical things about it immediately afterward, starts with the same premise, and that premise then becomes the only moment discussed here.

I invite all our participants on the thread to turn on CSpan, so we can talk about what Mitt Romney says, rather than what anybody else says he said.

Unfortunately Eastwood looked like an Alzheimer patient who forgot his medication... He did zing Biden pretty good though.

LookieNoNookie -> RE: Ryan Electrilies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 7:45:02 PM)

He zinged everyone.

He was at minimum....impressive.

TheHeretic -> RE: Ryan Electrilies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 8:26:33 PM)

When someone wanders around with a microphone as much as Eastwood, did, and still has even the old ladies laughing at dirty jokes, I'll call it a good speech.  [:)]

TheHeretic -> RE: Ryan Electrifies: "We can do this!" (8/30/2012 10:10:18 PM)

Romney didn't blast out the youthful energy and bouncy self-confidence of Ryan, but an excellent speech, an air of compassion, and the quieter confidence of a man with a lifetime of achievement and success under his belt.  We have met the monster the Obama camp has been telling horror stories of, and he is a decent man.

If fear of him is all the Democrats have to offer as a reason to re-elect the current failed administration, then the Democrats have nothing at all.

Mitt Romney's Acceptance Speech At The GOP Convention

The text is as prepared

I just finished watching Paul Ryan's convention speech.  Excellent delivery, excellent content, and oh dear Lord, ...

And oh dear lord, chock-full of absolute lies. I suppose electrifying lies are all the "republican" party has anymore. It's disgusting what they've done to that party.

I'm extremely disgusted right now!!!

I'm not sure what was up with Condi's delivery early on, but she got through it, and made a hell of a speech too.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing what Mitt brings to the podium tomorrow night.

I predict he won't even mention the fact that he and the RNC had to cheat to get him the nomination.
I bet you most people reading this don't know that either.
A few of those will probably check CNN and Fox's front page, find nothing, and conclude I just made it up or was kidding.
