I would, but I either can't find a gif with a small enough file size or I'm missing the trick how to do it.

I had to get him to show me how to do it. Find an image you like and right click it, go to save the url. Go back to the message, click the wee box that says image and insert the url between the two image thingies. I believe thingies is the technical term.

Can you see my Scarlet O'Hara? It's still showing my old avatar for me, on the boards, although she's on my profile. There seems to be a time delay before it all straightens out.

Oh dear the bandwidth hurts us and it takes our resouces. Yeah, it disturbs some electrons.

I'll go by the rules but, this is bullshit because once a motion GIF loads into your PC it does not take ANY resources from the site, it runs on YOUR processor and in YOUR RAM.

I think someone better learn some shit about the internet, I mean just basic shit. An animated GIF does not use ANY resources from the server or host.

I am only running a dual core and have had no issues with the pages loading. I did have a few issues with my previous computer which was
almost 8-9 years old.

sounds like cm might be running on an ooooolllddd system if they are slowing down from the gifs. Sounds like it's time for a new system in place. Master has an old computer but he hasn't mentioned anything about the gifs slowing down his computer. He has said the advertising on here slows his computer though and that's why he's running adblock.

I personally have a new computer so nothing slows it down unless my internet goes kaput.

My mod tools have been running slower since the proliferation of animated gifs...which makes me cranky.
