Those on the "right," and there are many here on collarme, don't see it that way. Hill, you are exactly right.

I didn't say that anyone "here" "claimed" anything. I used the term "general implication". Just look around you....The media, the social networking sites, the jokes, the various message boards etc. It's been all over the place today....."Any which way but Lucid" "Is Clint senile?" "Was Clint exploited?" etc etc.

Edited for a typo.

Broad, rhetorical speech is only permitted for liberals.  Non-Obamabots will be held to the highest semantical standards.

Especially when the Dems have nothing else.  [:D]

Translation.

I and My acolyte made unsubstanciable claims. Therefore, I must immediately change the subject.

marie said this: "The general implication that he's gone senile and didn't realize he was actually talking to an empty chair is preposterous"
I just asked who had said he didnt know he was talking to an empty chair because of all the wierd claims Ive heard regarding the Eastwood speech, that one is the wierdest so far and I hadn't seen it as yet.

As for "Broad Rhetorical speech", lets just call it what it is.

Bullshit.

The "general implication" was that you did make a claim. You even posted rebuttal.

Well here's the problem, Rich--if Romney/Ryan have a great plan, why the need to lie? Why open that door?

And yes, the same applies to Obama's distortions.

I don't engage in passive aggression. It leads no where and it's just a vehicle for people to create an argument and an opportunity to take anger out on one another. Only problem is I'm not pissed, emotionally involved in the discussion, or out for anyone's blood.

I made a statement of my thoughts on the OP's topic, from a completely objective point of view. Nothing more, nothing less.

Have a good evening.

I have to go with Marie on this. I have had a week from hell without much ability to keep up with things. I've been going through my CE courses for license renewal (In my state, your license lapses on the last day of your birthmonth even if you got your license in March, like I did) and other wildfires, hitting my desk, at work.

As a result, the best I've been able to do is catch short snippets of radio talk and the occasional flash (without sound) on a scroll in the diner or restaurant where I'm trying to eat without hurting myself.

The little bits I was able to pick up today were people (mostly the "known" lefties) musing out loud if poor ol' Clint shouldn't be in a home somewhere or his kids shouldn't be taking care of him because he's obviously lost it.

One guy (I could only listen for about ten minutes) seemed like he was preparing Clint's eulogy.

I think the term "general implication" is fair because no one is willing to come right out and say: "Clint is suffering from dementia" but, they're sure throwing hints that would be obvious to the most politically tone-deaf amongst us.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

It is because he made fun of Obama. You are not supposed to do that. After all, those on the left LOVE old people. Until they ridicule Obama.

BTW, do you know if any of the fact checkers have claimed that, “We all know that Biden is the intellect of the Democratic Party.” is a lie yet? [:D]

I adored Clint.... watched every movie, loved him until he split with his first wife to get off with the dumb bitch sondra locke. Still he had the charm, I didnt care about his politics.
Watching him last night, I almost cried for what was, and how far he has gone..
It was almost as creepy as watching a reagan hologram would have been.
Rich angry old white man, trying to cling to the glory days.
He fit in perfectly

All that came to mind was: What a bunch of fucking idiots - same thought that passes through my mind when I see any political hoo-ha as of late. I wish he would of brought up the subject of rape-babies. That would of just put the icing on the cake.

The general implication that he's gone senile and didn't realize he was actually talking to an empty chair is preposterous.

Would you care to point out someone who has done that?

Did you read the op or the thread title?

Loved Clints speech about bringing the troops home tomorrow, to huge cheers from the audience. He should have checked with Mitt first though. [8|]

http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2012/07/16/top_senators_can_t_explain_romney_s_afghanistan_policy.

Romney has said he will increase military tactics, reduce the defecit, not raise taxes. No doubt the dupes think all this can somehow be done without money.

You're not big on comprehension either, though you're tall on assumptions and misconceptions.

What does anger or passive aggression have to do with anything? Are you under the impression every discussion among people who don't agree is emotionally charged? That's telling in itself.

You made a claim, and when asked to support it, ran for the hills and the excuses, and someone called you on it.

Life goes on.

It says nothing about "not knowing he was talking to a chair" which is the claim I asked for clarification on.

Republicans are the Party of Magic Money. Just cut taxes and manna falls from heaven. Except it doesn't, and never has. But it will this time! Except it won't. But we'll do it anyway, because it redistributes resources to the top at the expense of the middle and bottom, and so far people are still clinging to this lie, despite no jobs, no growth, believing we're going bankrupt when all we're doing is cutting the revenue to fund it.
