ORIGINAL: Hillwilliam Translation. I and My acolyte made unsubstanciable claims. Therefore, I must immediately change the subject. marie said this: "The general implication that he's gone senile and didn't realize he was actually talking to an empty chair is preposterous" I just asked who had said he didnt know he was talking to an empty chair because of all the wierd claims Ive heard regarding the Eastwood speech, that one is the wierdest so far and I hadn't seen it as yet. As for "Broad Rhetorical speech", lets just call it what it is. Bullshit. I have to go with Marie on this. I have had a week from hell without much ability to keep up with things. I've been going through my CE courses for license renewal (In my state, your license lapses on the last day of your birthmonth even if you got your license in March, like I did) and other wildfires, hitting my desk, at work. As a result, the best I've been able to do is catch short snippets of radio talk and the occasional flash (without sound) on a scroll in the diner or restaurant where I'm trying to eat without hurting myself. The little bits I was able to pick up today were people (mostly the "known" lefties) musing out loud if poor ol' Clint shouldn't be in a home somewhere or his kids shouldn't be taking care of him because he's obviously lost it. One guy (I could only listen for about ten minutes) seemed like he was preparing Clint's eulogy. I think the term "general implication" is fair because no one is willing to come right out and say: "Clint is suffering from dementia" but, they're sure throwing hints that would be obvious to the most politically tone-deaf amongst us. Peace and comfort, Michael
